He could join the WWE after he's done as a footballer.

Hummels said the transfer of Süle is understandable while he was unfortunatly the only CB who stayed fit in the first part of the season.

The domestic defender, who is to have FC Chelsea and AC Milan offerings, can also be deployed on the right side, making him an alternative to captain Philipp Lahm (33, contract until 2018) whose career is coming to an end.

IMO a giant can never be deployed as a WB

IMO a giant can never be a great CD either.

They're too clumsy and lack agility and acceleration. I am trying to think of the world's best defenders of all time, and no one is anywhere as tall as Niklas Süle.

Beckenbauer 1.81m
Maldini 1.86m
Baresi 1.76m
Cannavaro 1.76m
Nesta 1.87m
Moore 1.78m
Puyol 1.78m
Thuram 1.85m
Terry 1.87m
Sammer 1.80m

The only exception I can think of is Boateng, who is relatively fast and is very tall (1.92m), though still not as tall as Niklas (1.95m). The only defenders taller than Niklas that I can think of right now are Mertesacker (1.98m) and Van Buyten (1.97m), and both of them were limited especially with regards to acceleration, and nobody can really say they were legendary defenders.

Then there is Tah... my goodness does anyone knows how much he weighs? He looks BIG... and I saw him giving an interview to a female sky reporter and he seemed double the size

@MUTU
If he ends up as the next Jaap Stam, a defender that I rate highly and IMO he was very underrated, I'll be fine. He was a giant too.
Sami Hyppia of LFC became a really great hammer CB and he was over 1.90m too.

All the names you mentioned are greater players than these two but still I think Sule is more athletic, he can become a monster defender style-wise Terry or Vidic level for example. He has the same attributes.

Hate to disagree but height has nothing to do with speed. It is a popular misconception. Sorry.

Suele is taller than Stam though, and I always felt Stam was limited and needed to be protected from midfield.

Top speed has nothing to do with acceleration and agility. The tendency is that the taller the person, the slower the acceleration and agility.

Problem with the tall defenders or athletes is that they lack explosiveness, even for the fastest man alive is a problem compared to his opponents and for CBs in football explosiveness(in high line) is a deadly weakness.

Bolt has the same height as Sule 8)

Hardly the case. Acceleration (taken from sprint runners) has been scientifically attributed to a muscles inside the lower part of the body which with the proper development can make you seconds faster at short distances. Then there's phsycological factors and trainning methods which vary from individual to individual. Bolt, a 1.95m record holder, is hardly a case that would support your theory. Along with him, there are many Jamaican runners to further confirm this. Sorry, but muscle density in taller runners compensate for their height and weight in many cases so speed can't be attributed to height.
