If this deal goes through, then what good does a Barca boycott do? They did not want to sell Neymar either...I'm sure PSG will cry that Barca will never want to buy anybody from PSG in the future.

The only thing that would make any sense is that multiple top teams refuse to play against PSG in any competition. This would potentially wreck CL.

From what I understood, they want to convince European clubs not to deal with them, so they won't be able to buy anymore players.

Of course this could be fabricated by L'Equipe.

Cavani, Neymar and Alexis would start, Draxler and Di Maria would go to the bench. Not a big deal anyway, as ADM and Draxler are pretty meh.

So how exactly do you plan boycotting transfers to a club that are willing to pay 222 million for a footballer?
Or do you mean buying from them? Because in that case, the players that PSG are willing to let go won't help us anyway.

This is the type of deal that should worry Bayern, it's so much beyond what we are willing to spend...

It's beyond what any club is willing to spend. Every club should be worried, not just us, but not just about the money - they should worry about what this transfer represents. This deal is opening a dark precedent.

To me this 'sale' makes Barcelona stronger. They now have enough money to do an overhaul of their squad and improve a lot.

Verrati is going nowhere for me as well. PSG flexed their muscle big time, especially since Barca tried to go behind their back for Verratti.

But Barca will have problems spending that fee correctly. Clubs know they have money and they will increase their asking price big time. Especially since neither Juve/BVB/Liverpool need to sell Dybala/Dembele/Coutinho this late in the summer. Prices of 150m will be asked from Barca. In a way, they are better served to keep the money and pay off some of their debt and finance the stadium reconstruction that they are planning. But they also have missed out on their purchases in recent years. Players like Denis Suarez or Andre Gomes have not developed well at all. I am not sure they believe they can buy "normal" players and develop them now.

But the bigger clubs will absolutely fleece them if Barca come near their players.
