Just look at Dortmund with Barrios as an example.... They have announced that he could leave the club for 12M... That gives out a signal that Dortmund's managers value him less than 12M, and are saying 12M in order to increase the fee they are wishing to get from his sale... so a club like Malaga offers 10M and hopes for a agreement... But if there was a 12M clause and Dortmund would have announced that they won't sell their star Barrios, Malaga would have probably offered the 12M and signed him by now... Because they won't be counting on Dortmund's willingness to sell, to sweeten the deal for them!
For God's sake, Isn't there anyone else in the forum who gets what I'm saying???

According to Bild, Reus has an exit clause of 35 million euros applicable should he leave before 2015 (his contract is until 2017).
