Lucas is good, but not good enough for this midfield...

Unless, he wants to play the Rode role of getting few minutes in a season.

He is a good CM though, just not good enough imo.

This was my original thought on this rumor as well as commented above, but what started to give me another perspective is that his name is being mentioned around by (reportedly) many of the big European clubs. Surely, there must be something very good about him for that to happen right? Maybe he's a late boomer?

he was a no-name two years ago. Consistent and great performances last year helped him earn a big role in Brazil NT. Still, he isn't good enough to be a starter in any European top 3 team though.

His style looks European... he could've been easily overlooked in a land of million talents.

I think there's almost an entire Leicester team willing to prove you wrong, starting with Vardy which, until two seasons ago, was, technically, at a lower level than Weihrauch

Well, Leicester couldn't top the Bundesliga in a thousand years... Also, Vardy is an Englishman, playing in England... A Brazilian doesn't only have to deal with cultural and language issues - there's also the weather and another style of play...
