I see no place for Renato and either Vidal or Tolisso might have to leave as well. But apart from that we will be fine. We've just signed a hell of a player on a free transfer

I agree that Goretzka is great catch for free and also that our squad is very injury prone. But my point is that we don't really need depth *in CM*. If we had an injury plague and 3 CMs were out, we would still have 3/6 of Thiago, Vidal, Renato, Rudy, Tolisso and Goretzka for a single position. OTOH, if Javi injures, we have no other pure DM. If James injures, we have no other creative player. If Coman injures, we only have a mediocre Gnabry and a done Ribéry for LW.

Again, we have 4-6 CMs, but 1 DM, 1 real creative attacker with vision and 1 acceptable LW. Our squad is unbalanced and our transfers keep unbalancing it further.

That being said, i'd be fine if we bring Goretzka and get rid of Vidal, Renato and Tolisso, but bring in a DM and a source of final-third creativity (Meyer, Forsberg, maybe Brandt, someone like that).

I can understand selling Vidal while we can still get money. I think another year on loan for Sanches to reach a final verdict on him would also be smart. But SELLING Tolisso? That is just plain crazy talk. Very happy about Goretzka, now we just need Dele Alli and a winger. We'll have a team for the next 5 years and also my FIFA career mode team haha

I don't think Spurs will be selling Alli. Because Kane is a clear target for Real Madrid if they do it they lose half of their creativity on the pitch which as a rich and CL contender club they will avoid to do so.

Imagine Jupp is staying one more season (at least) and actually this is what convinced Goretzka. That would be amazing!
