Plus Renato...
There is a big probability that we wasted some €75m on Tolisso and Renato

We wasted €76M on Tolisso and Renato.

Tolisso cost €41.5m.
Renato Sanches cost €35m but we recouped €8.5m from the loan deal.

Then you need to add their salaries into the mix.

And we will recover part of what we paid for both if we finally sell them.

I still believe that Goretzka would choose us over Barcelona. Even though Barcelona has a huge pull factor we should have the advantage over Barca in many ways. We have several friends of his in the squad and I believe that it will very important in his decision. We can offer him the same as Barca in terms of sporting and financial opportunities. He would be a sure starter, especially if Vidal will be sold next summer.

Also is he ready to leave Germany at 22 years old? Remember that he chose Schalke in 2013 because Gelsenkirchen is a short drive to Bochum. Is he ready to join Barca in the political turmoil the state of Catalonia is in?

If he wants stability and a happy life overall his choice is Muenchen

Well, to be fair, Barcelona can probably guarantee him more playing time than Bayern. Also, it's true that there's political uncertainty at Barcelona, but there's sporting uncertainty at Bayern: specifically who will be the next coach. Right now, he could have a chat with Valverde who could clear out any doubts that Goretzka has, but it'd be kind of pointless doing this exercise with Heynckes.

If there is actually any debate going on Bayern v Barca in Leon's head, I only believe that he'll join us for sporting reasons over Barca.
I don't think he fits there, he is a box-to-box midfielder built in Germany/England style of football, he doesn't excel in technique or dribble or possession. He gets the ball,he runs with the ball, he engages in battles, he prefers the contact rather than spacing etc

In the other hand we're more flexible, we can mix these styles and we have showed that numerous times, major disadvantage that we have not appointed a coach, that's a real problem indeed but I think the board will come to a decision soon.He fits perfectly fine with our squad and style and his potential is much higher than our current #8 (Vidal,Tolisso,Renato,Rudy)

Ideally Goretzka & Alexis coming in winter, I know that it sounds absurd but they fit and they can come cheap(er) while at the same time will strength us immediately.

And also Paulinho is doing a very good job for Barcelona at the moment.

Our bosses already know who will be taking over so that's not a problem.

If they knew, why wouldn't they have made it public like they did during the treble winning season? I'm not sure they know yet.

I agree ramsej84 that the board knows who will take over next summer. And when they enter negotiation with Goretzka in January they can present him with our next manager. I think Barca will try to sign a creative playmaker for Iniesta. I don't think Goretzka is that type of a player.

This exactly.

Even though he was BvB-coach.....I'm sure if it's Tuchel, Goretzka will be happy to play for him

I'm starting to think that we might get Goretzka+Brandt while Barcelona gets Max Meyer. I'm fine with that.
