Well I think nowadays that our young targets are accepting the idea of buy and loan and then come back. Coming back after a couple of years with a decent BL team might make their wish of representing Bayern at the highest levels come true. They just have to take a look at Lahm, Kroos (who this guy idolize), and Alaba before letting their egos kick in.

True, and i bet Sammer could convince his team to sell him if they do a buy then loan back for the remainder of the season and maybe more

HAHAHA!!! Dont make me laugh, Schalke cannot beat Sammer to his #1 target. Not even a €40m release clause could chain his ambitions down :D

If they promise him a regular first team place as they do with Draxler, then it would be hard to compete with them over his signature.

I hope that Leon Goretzka knows that our wingers are getting old and Muller may be moved on the wings later, so he will have much playing time at Bayern. We should beat Schalke to this guy

This guy isnt a winger he is a CM so i dont see how Bayern's aging wingers would help....

Bayern already have a promising CM in Can, so Schalke have a good chance of beating us to his signature, I think.

Sammer should do everything possible not to pull a Nerlinger and lose out on this apparently very talented player, like we did with Reus.

^ Agreed. I want him to come here and loaned out (as I mentioned a couple of posts above). However, the Schalke package would be more interesting for a talented youngster than ours. He would at least get regular playing times, even if he is not guaranteed a starting role. He would be featuring constantly in the CL, which is a dream for many youngsters. His competition at Schalke would be easier than that in Bayern. Plus, he would avoid the sign-and-loan dilemma. Let's see how Sammer goes about with this transfer.

Lewis Holtby is mostly leaving Schalke and going to English premier League
So If they are offering Goretzka the place of Holtby then i think that this transfer war is definitely lost

Could it be that they offer the place to Draxler, ie move him centrally?

Affelay does not want to stay
So i doubt that this will happen especially with the return of Jurado who is a Central player

Wow so many shocking things

- When did Afellay say that he didn't want to stay?
- I know that Holtby likes Premier League but are there strong rumours linking him to a PL team? :o

:( :( :( :(

BTW I don't know anything about Goretzka but watching those highlights it seems like he is a more phisique player like Martinez for example, so I don't think that Holtby' departure could influence his move to Schalke.

Affelay said quite a few times that he wants to return to BArcelona and prove himself there.
Stupid because he's just not good enough.. but whatever.

And I remember reading an article that Liverpool was interested in Holtby
