Yes, what they won't probably say is that Goretzka would have gone to any other top club in Europe, had he not signed for us

Whenever someone says something like that I think they are just jealous cause we got the player.

Bayern didn't sign KDB, what happened? This made Wob more competitive or worse?

Salty English fans knows nothing about him. if you have a strong competitor, you can improve your vision and project, can get better of a strong competitor if you want to compete.

in addition, stronger Bayern beneftis all Bundesliga clubs. since, BL İnt. deal is an important revenue item anymore. Moreover, Bundesliga clubs got better TV deals thanks to Bayern, like Mintzlaff mentioned before. Also Sky CL market pool revenue improved. Also Bayern makes %90 of Bundesliga marketing, which also will benefit Bundesliga teams in middle term and long term.

Furthermore, whenever there is a German clubs who in financial difficulty, we are there to help them. instead of it, we can play games for marketing, also we can get money.

What are English teams benefits for Bundesliga clubs? They better start producing their own talents in their overrated league.

I just hope that he won't be jinxed as all of our players we sign!

So in Kicker right now apparently Heidel has said he would be open to a January move still, under the guise that perhaps keeping Goretzka around would be harmful to team morale/performance/whatever. Personally, I don't see that happening for any reason, and it sounds like they're just pissed he's going for free and wanna try and recoup a small fee, but who knows.

That wouldn't suit us at all. We have too many players right now in his position and that wouldn't help us or him to come now.

Can't see tweet? Click here!
Quite talented by goalimpact, but considerably less than Kimmich, who is about the same age. However, given Schalke's chaotic and depressing managerial situation over the past few years, I suspect that he has a lot of potential which he isn't properly using and that a good manager(Tuchel, Guardiola, Heynckes, or Nagelsmann) will rapidly improve him to a much higher level.

Goretzka is a very versatile player. Although not ideal he can also play wide if needed. Vidal is turning 31 in May, Javi will be 30 this year, Thiago is very injury prone, and Goretzka has more talent than Tolisso. This move is a coup.

Pretty sure Gumbo's post is in reference to mine about the possibility of Goretzka moving here in January. It's a great deal but we don't need him this season.

I disagree. I see them both very close to each other.

To all the critics, this is all I have to say. Alongside Kimmich, he is the future NT captain and leader in the midfield for not just Germany but also Bayern. People who think that Leon is just a typical box to box midfielder are gravely mistaken - he is the evolution of what is expected of a midfielder

- not only to have defensive abilities
- good at interceptions
- vision
- dribbling
- ball control
- leadership

He has got all of it - he is the bonafide evolution of the modern CM. Mark my words, he will go down as one of the best german midfielders of all time similarly to Schweinsteiger, as Kimmich wil potentially go down as the heir apparent to Lahm.

We just replaced Schweinsteigher & Lahm with Goretzka & Kimmich.
