Well since improvement is the goal of transfers then I think the choice is clearly Thiago Silva. Otherwise why bother we still have great players in defense and Badstuber is getting better every day.

Welcome to the best Back line in the last decade.

I wouldnt say that, Kompany has done more to deserve that title in my opinion.

You must not watch the Premiership week in week out. If you did, you'd know Koscielny has been better than Kompany for the last 2 seasons.

Yup. Look at his composure, tackling and interceptions. All above anybody else I've seen in a very very long time.

I agree i dont watch the EPL often but even from other fans i hear more praise about Kompany than Koscielny. Also he did play very well vs Barca in my opinion. If Koscienly played for a better side who may get just as much praise, something tells me Arsenal's trophy drought makes people a bit bias...

Omg bang on. I'm one of Kompany's biggest fans, and I actually hated Koscielny until mid way through this season.

but damn, now that I think about it, Koscielny does everything right.

Koscielny is the best CB in EPL now

He has those little concentration losses every now and then , but in general he is an extremely stronger tackler both on ground and in air

Mamadou Sakho is the best centre back in the Premier League before his injury. Once he regains full fitness, he will be again.

I would give Agger some credit, the L'pool games i have watched he has been pretty close to world class

Im not going to list the best CBs in the PREM but i would rather have Kompany on my team than any other because he is a true leader something than Arsenal dont have and that includes Koscielny. He is a fine defender though, i remember when he first came over his tackling was appalling and he received many a deserved red card but hes improved on that over the last season and a half.

Agger is too injury prone to be considered a top defender.

Also Sahko hasnt played anywhere near enough games to be even in the conversation over who is the best CB.

Aaaand now there is. Sounds pretty random though, to be honest.

Actually it's more than random. It seems that Koscielny's agent told Eurosport France that FC Bayern have expressed their interest. [source]

These rumours are really annoying and boring in the last 3-4 years.
