For what it's worth, Uli recently said in an interview that the team is going to focus more on developing our own talents and less on transfers in the near future. Take that as you will

Uli basically said this ''We are once again gaining an important element with the young talent center. This will be a new chapter of FC Bayern that we will try to reduce the transfers by developing our own players''

But first they need to develop Bayern level players from new youth center. :D

Yes, I think this doesn't necessarily exclude young talents like Mbappe either. It was initially in reference to replacing Alonso, saying we won't go out and buy a superstar to replace him (which makes me think Veratti is off the table, if it already wasn't--but thats another story)....But I wouldn't be surprised to see us buying more talented young players. There has to be a balance of course. BvB buys up all the youngsters there is and it works okay for them...but at the same time their young players haven't been enough to truly challenge on all three fronts. While we do need to invest in youth I think we shouldn't do so at the expense of world class players who are ready to challenge for three titles straight away too. need to balance the two.

I agree with Uli regarding that we need to develop our own world class players, but we also need to get players from the market that can deliver straight away. Plus, it is still too early to actually know if we are going to develop a world class player in the next 2 or 3 years. It could take 5 years. All depends of how the new center works out.

He is really really special and we need some depth at CF. I don't think we'd be favourites but I hope we try.

While at it, let's just try to buy all of Monaco. Bernardo Silva, Bakayoko, Fabinho and Mendy are also very impressive.

Mendy was 10-15 meters too high all the second leg because he is unbrain and can't defend a full game. Attacking all the time and getting tired after 35 minutes. Sometimes Sterling got the ball and it's Lemar who defend on him ... Mendy wasn't even on the screen !!

Bakayoko would struggle in a possession team maybe.

It was meant as a bit of a joke, but all those players are very impressive in different ways and I forgot Lemar too who worked very hard and seems very skilled.

I thought Mendy had a bit of a rough time between the 60th-70th minute, but overall handled Sterling pretty well. Sidibe on the wing was roasted by Sane consistently. Even though both fullbacks seems to be highly rated, Mendy has a lot more potential too me.

Yeah, Bakayoko is a bit of a bull, but every team needs one of those. Fabinho does nothing spectacular, yet always seems to be in the right place for the right play. The classic case of a player who has milked all his talent due to a good football brain.

Silva is just magic and so is Mbappe.

In France squad to play Luxemburg and Spain.

Same as Lemar and Dembelé.

Coman losing his spot quickly. All others are better or a lot better. Not sure will change even with more playing time.

Actually we are not the ideal team to develop him.also considering, it's a lot different to play in alone striker, in addition, our primary need is a game changer winger, since we are too Robben depended. this is why, l'd go for B.Silva than Mbappe.

But Mbappe can play fantastically on the wings as well....

Kylian Mbappé [Kylian Mbappé Lottin]

Mbappe has shown he is capable of being effective in the wings no wonder people are comparing him to Henry, he may eventually grow to being a full on complete #9 but he's still growing since he's a kid. Right now he is more of an inside forward in my opinion...
