I really don't know him.

A young back-up for Lahm instead of Rafinha ? Why not.

If he's great he could take Lahm spot in 2018/19 ... if he isn't he will be the back-up of a other RB ..
Bayern 3-3-3-1 build-up under Heynckes :
Neuer - Boateng Hummels Thiago - Kimmich Vidal Alaba - Robben Müller James - Lewandowski
Neuer- Boateng Vidal Hummels- Kimmich Martinez Alaba- Robben James Ribéry- Lewandowski

Are you excited just because he is a RB or do you actually know anything about the guy?

Haha... I'm no professional scout, you know... :P

He's a player I'd like to see here... Bellerin and even Aurier have played on a WAY higher level, no doubt about it... Ehredivisie players are always somewhat of a gamble (look at Memphis - even though I think h might still explode elsewhere...)

So it's kinda hard to compare them, but as I said, the kind of player I like... Bellerin is stronger on offense IMHO, but I like the way Tete plays... He doesn't scare away from risky tackles - kinda like Vidal, just not THAT insane :P - and he has a great timing... He reminds me of Lahm, yet he's completely different at least in some aspects... He's a greater threat to goal IMHO, could still work on his crossing though... But he has great anticipation and positioning... I haven't seen 50 or more games of him but I actually can't remember seeing him make a mistake ever...

But as I said, I'm no scout... I think I sometimes have somewhat of a nose for players that would work well here, and sometimes I completely fail (hint: Costa :P )... He'S just a player I like to see play... And since we're in the market for an RB and he should be affordable I think we should get him...

From his highlight reel he looks to me like an Alaba-lite(no pun intended :P ), not as quick or offensively gifted but a solid, well built physically and flexible fullback according to his profile on transfermarkt. Also it looks like he has two years remaining on his current deal with a decent amount of big clubs like Juve and Man U reportedly having eyes on him.

I've been seeing his name mentioned around the media for a while now, yet never seen him myself. He seems to be a big talent if reports are to be believed.

Because of famous competition, the deal is supposed to be finalized before Ancelotti arrives at Säbener Straße.

I just watched the above posted videos, and he seems to be a good prospect. He is physically strong and is tall (180cm) for a RB. He is also quite fast and seems to be a tough tackler. One thing I noted is that he barely uses his left foot, and hence barely cuts inside. He runs a lot along the sidelines. He's 21 years old, so there's definitely a lot of room for improvement.
