I don't think Weigl would really have much a chance of starting for us TBH

Weigl extended his contract until 2021 so you just can forget about him.

Alonso is like Carlo's lost son. Any player who plays bad for 2 games in a row, he benchs them but we couldn't see the same approach regarding Alonso. He always started even if he was our team's cancer for weeks. The reason behind 4-3-3 was Alonso as well. since Carlo couldn't leave his son out of starting line up.

Carlo was the reason why our MGT renewed with Alonso last season.l hope Uli and Kalle can force him to offload Alonso in order to create space for a new signing for midfield.

There will be a Weigl story every years for Barça or Real or PL clubs and one year before the end of his contract he will join Bayern.

Very sad ... for both BVB and the German football overall.

I said from the beginning that Pep was going to try to raid BVB because they were the only poachable top 3 posession team in Europe (Barça, Bayern, BVB at the time were the best posession teams).

As to the Barça-Weigl link, I don't see it happening. They got Busquets and he is still in his prime, why would they want Busquets Jr.? And why would Busquets Jr. want to be under Busquet Sr's shadow?

Hope they keep him, for the sake of the Bundesliga.

Busquets hasn't been good this year.
Weigl has a contract until 2021, shame on BVB if they sell him. If they sell him, I hope they relegate in the 4th division.

I think they're in a much better financial situation today and with the upcoming TV deal, they'll get extra money to retain their players.

They should refuse to talk for any bid below 80m, nobody is gonna pay 80m... or maybe they would.

He's the perfect Alonso replacement right under our nose.

Wrong thread? You meant Kimmich, right?

BVB wouldn't sell Weigl to us.
