Yup, no reason to sell unless he's unhappy and requests a move, TBH (and even then it's not imperative)

Totally agree!

I'm for seeing him get more time.

Will comes soon when games will be every 3 or 4 days, but I think that there are many good spanish teams that will love to have him, so no matter how many minutes he will receive, I think that he is very talent for being in the starting lineup of a good european team and he will leave the team.

Good to have him as a backup, but with Lahm finishing his career next season, I think its time to think in sign 2 good fullbacks.

at this rate our bench will be made up solely by U17s...

What U17s? Didn't you hear we sold 3 of them yesterday?

I think we might fill up our squad with good-but-not-great second tier German players, like Rudy. If Juan leaves (which I hope doesn't happen), Hector maybe? :-/

Hector is a starter for the National Elf, how can he accept a bench role? Hector will leave for Liverpool come next June

He is a starter because there just isn't anyone better. IMO if Bernat were German, he would be the starter.

He might leave for Liverpool but they can do better, don't know what the fuss about Hector is...

What I read is that Bernat wants to leave, nobody is pushing him out. He got a lot of minutes under Pep, that's not the case anymore. Nobody is kicking him out because he's not German and in all likeliness won't be replaced by a German.
Hector refused Chelsea and they don't have Alaba, he'd refuse Bayern too.
We need someone who will accept the backup role...

I wasn't implying that Bernat is being pushed out, just saying that I think if he leaves, a second tier German will arrive. That's all.

We've been linked to Toljan from the Germans who can play at LB but the rumor didn't sound that credible... I think that there must be some truth in the Faouzi Ghoulam rumors. We've been linked to some other fullbacks but I don't think that they were German. There are no Germans we could bring for the position, we won the treble with Contento as a backup so it's not that big of a problem.

Definitely. I don't rate Hector much. Bernat is far from world class but in my opinion he is much better.

He is a good player, and he seems to be a hard worker with great attitude. He needs to do what is best for his career and I think moving from Bayern would be a best for him. I know a PL league or two desperate for a LB.
