U must live in a cave not to see the influence of Park on Korean football supporters, Dong on Chinese supporters, Ono on Japanese supporters and LVG+Robben+MVB on Dutch supporters. WHy did ManU even buy Dong or Park in the first place? Why did European clubs scout all the way in Asia when theres more talent in your own neighbourhood?

If what u said about supporters simply choosing the most attractive footballing team then why arent we all Barca fans? and why are there so many Korean ManU fans?
Exactly, it's cus ppl watch players from their own nationality. German clubs and especially Bayern was the most hated club in Holland. Now the newspapers write good tings about the Dutch players in Bayern and Voila, suddenly everyone here loves Bayern. It's that simple.

But as he matures, he will clearly get a liking for another club... Dats more probable

5-12 is the age where people become supporters and they dont switch unless they are glory hunters.
So having a bunch of 5-12 year old kids supporting us will definitely give us good things in the long-run (10 years later when they start buying shirts and stuff).

If you say so, then we can target only fans of around age group 5-12 from all over the world..
As my brother Cruzy told, it doesnt matter whether an Indian plays at bayern, India will continue to support Bayern as long as Bayern play attractive football... Although, it contributes quite something as many quoted great examples.

Instead of Buying The Jerseys of those indian players with An Indian team

people start buying their jerseys with Bayern

also They will start broadcasting everything about bayern (News and Games)

In Germany , they show everything of The Dallas Mavericks , only Because Dirk Nowitzki plays there

True Europe fans of football are like 80% born into a club because football is everything in Europe. And there is not that many chances to make a bigger fan base in europe.
But in Asia and its big countries as India, China, Indonesia, Iran etc...football is not reached its full potential yet and there are bigger chances to expand your fan base. If you buy a Chinese player and he plays good for your club...and if that club is in CL finals...I believe that there will be 100x more broadcasts and viewers in front of their TV sets...just because there is one Chinese player playing in the finals of the biggest football competition in the world!!
And if that Chinese guy scores in the finals...I bet our Trikot sale would rise for 1000% in just one day because if just every 10000th chinese kid buys his Trikot we have a huge profit and a huge fan base:)

If our main goal was money, we would have kept Donovan and neither of the Indian or Chinesse market is as important as the American or European market.

As an American I can tell you first hand that soccer will NEVER be as popular as the four "core sports" (football, baseball, basketball & hockey) in the USA. So, why do you think Bayern goes to Asia in the off season? To build up the Bundesliga and Bayern Munchen, that's why!

Part of the reason the WC was in Japan/Korea in 2002 was to grow the sport into Asia, just like WC 2010 is in Africa to grow the sport on that continent. The next great market is China & India if for no other reason than the billion plus people who live in those two countries.

I do agree, but what I mean is that China has a ton of people whom actually give a crap about soccer and the few people that like soccer dont even have ssosmething to eat, so it´s alright that we are spreading over Asia, but how is that making us earn more money??????

Television rights. The more people want soccer the more TV revenue generated. The BL has been quite active in promoting German soccer in areas outside of Europe. For example, unlike the EPL which is shown on Fox Soccer Channel here in the USA, the BL sold its TV rights to GOLTV, a predominantly Hispanic TV channel in North America. So who do you think is making more $$$ in North America, the EPL or the BL? It's all about worldwide audience and the BL is doing a good job of self-promotion.

^^ Right. I go back to Singapore during the holidays and after the EPL, Bundesliga games are shown the most. Ahead of Serie A and La Liga.

know What

Because I Live in The Arabian world now , I can assure you That If Bayern Keeps The Strong Relation with Dubai , They will Get Much money easily

They Go to Dubai every year now , people in Dubai like Them , Dubai Sports WORSHIPS FC Bayern (The moderator in the last game wore A T-Shirt with The FC Bayern logo and it was full of all Bayern players Signatures)

Dubai has Tons of Money , Dubai is maybe The City with Most Hi-tech and Services in This world

They Have The Best Hotels ,Best Malls , and all Nationalities (Many Germans are there) can be found there , and i am sure that Dubai is ready to let Bayern use everything for free as Dubai wants to get More Famous

People There are also football Fanatics (All Arabians are , I Went to Lebanon during WC2006 , And i swear that They love football more than Their Country, money and Wifes !!!!)

So They Can make much money of selling their Merchandise ,and still feel comfortable

OFFTOPIC also could not resist

ARE You From lebanon ?!

I am not exaggerating

When i went to Lebanon , every house Had A Flag on it and in different Sizes

From 30cm X 30cm flags , till flags longer than 5 Meters

Palace or Cottage , everyone has put A Flag

Most Flags had Brazil, Then Germany, Then Argentina then France

I also saw A house Raising A Flag of Ghana !!!!!!

A Shop Called Brazil opened , selling only Brazil Kits , Scarfs , Flags , and even normal clothing in Brazilian Flag Colors

another Shop sold everything related to WC2006 , I Bought A Germany Towel from there

Lebanon is A Beautiful country in everything

(Nature ,New things , Ruins , Jeita Grotto , The Food , The Sea, Rawsha Rock ,Nice Guys , Cute Girls, Lovely and Helpful People , FOOTBALL CRAZY...)

the have nearly NO Negatives, I Have never Seen A Country loving life like Lebanon

- and i have been and met different nationalities-

Lebanon faced wars , Civil Wars, yet they make it More Beautiful than Before the war in NO TIME , and with This Football Environment

Lebanon was The Heaven on earth for a football Fanatic like me (I watched Argentina vs Mexico in WC2006 in Lebanon)

My Mum and Dad Went to Lebanon 3 Times !!! this shows how great that country is , I went there only 1 Time , and trust me I Really would like to go there again
==============
Football Marketing in Lebanon would be better than Football marketing in India (Indians are Addicted To Cricket)
