Jérôme Boateng

Postby Element » Sat Jan 02, 2010 12:18 pm

According to TZ

Bayern are interested in Boateng

Boateng can leave this Summer for 12 mio euros (A clause in his contract)

And Boateng refused to extend his contract with Hamburg last week after some negotiations with the Board

So instead of losing him for 12 mio , they might let him go this winter for 15 mio euros

Boateng Said: " I have always said that I Would like to stay in Hamburg , But if Bayern Are showing interest ...... Flyers are always seen with pleasure in Munich"
====================
Boateng is german, Can play CB and RB (Like Arne Friedrich , but many years younger , and really tough defensively)

I Think that we should get him

Also Man City and Inter are showing interest

on one hand, this CAN mean LAhm stays RB so im not too happy,
but on the other hand boateng is an amazing player with HUGE talent to become a top player, and he can play RB so this gives us flexibility
we can then play

--------------Butt-------------------
Lahm---boateng-Dvb---Badtsuber

or

--------------Butt-------------------
Boateng--Dvb--Badstuber--Lahm

Still i'd rather have bosingwa and perhaps one day get boateng to replace van buyten.
Hes still better as CB than RB.

Bosingwa is the best now

Boateng the second best

Besides , i dont think that LvG is that stupid

he loaned a CB

so he wont sign a new CB

i think we will use formation 2

As metioned before - he's very versatile, can play as RB/CB/DM. As a right-back I'm not entirely convinced of him. If he goes on to have an impressive career, I'm pretty sure it'll be in the center of the defence.

As soon as I heard of his refusal to extend his contract with HSV, I knew there were gonna be rumours of him being linked to Bayern. He has pretty much everything a modern defender needs, plus a marvellous technique for a center-back. Considering his potential/talent, the fact that he's German and his age, I think the 12 million would be very well invested.

Micho has caused so many problems for our defence - you can't believe how glad I would be if someone would finally come in, to replace him once and for all. Effectively, he only had one and a half good seasons at Bayern during his 6 years. That one year, under Hitzfeld 2.0, when he was admittedly at the top of his game and played some great football and the half season as defensive-midfielder, under Magath I think it was, when he did alright as well.

I already mentioned it in Official Transfer Thread.....
I dont think its realistic..
We wont pay 15 million on a young CB/LB who might not even be a main squad player!

He's CB/RB not LB, so we need him.

But if we buy him he WILL be a starter. I think that 15M is a bit too much. We can get Bosingwa for a bit more. But i would be happy if we get Boateng because that means we will see Lahm on the left, so it's like buying 2 players with that money

Well, he can replace Demichelis as CB but i don't think that's the plan

He has played for the National Team too but he didn't make a good game and was sent off. He was also sent off against Bremen in the last match.

Boateng is younger and has a lot of time to improve and become world class. Also, he is german so it's better to get him.
