Jan is widely known & it's not really my problem you guys dont know. Several big clubs are interested in him. I am not a big fan of him actually. I would gladly pay 10 Million extra for Hummels than Jan. I really want Hummels to return back to Bayern. This is the next best choice,Howedes would not be bad either.

BTW CB's valuation is not really their transfer price. It doubles up most time or even close to that when the guy is younger. Great CB's are rare & people are prepared to pay a bomb for young & potentially great CB's. Over-paying is the norm. If Howedes is worth 17.5 Million odd then Jan is worth 15-18 Million odd too. It's just that he plays for the Eredivisie.

I am surprised too... however I am not seeing us signing another defender because besides Dante we still have DvB and our tech staff will sign nobody else. So we must forget Howedes too!

Damn! I'm sad! He'll leave this year most probably to join Barca(I don't want it to happen) or Arsenal(fine with me).
Tottenham's behind him too while we aren't interested enough, I guess. Dunno why?
Dante probably was given preference 'coz he's proven in BuLi and obviously far cheaper. I believe the money was saved for maybe Gomez's or Robben' extension or 'bomb' striker.

We already have 4 CBs for next season and will most probably have Howedes next year. I'll be very happy then too.

We could say why Bayern doesn't sign alot of players, just because we as fans like certain players personally. This player won't happen this season anyway. But we buy players based on what our needs are, if they can fit into the team based on their playing style, and then cost. I've seen so many players Bayern has overlooked that seemed the obvious choice, so no sense in getting worked up over it.

Tottenham beat Arsenal to €10m signing of Ajax defender Vertonghen

Belgian centre-back has told the Dutch club he wants to move to White Hart Lane and the deal is expected to be agreed by end of the week
