I seriously think we really definitively absolutely and not even close by any stretch of the word need another center attacking midfielder.

If Rodriguez can play as a CB, then sign him ! 8)

Bot jokes aside, he is a quality player, but I think we should keep focused on getting a new defender.

It would be a dream transfer if Kroos leaves...
We have Lahm, Hjojberg, Rode, Bastian and Thiago who can fill that role... imagine having Martinez and Thiago in front of our defence Martinez behind Lewa(I was going to write Mandzu... )

adidas' "VP Global Sports Marketing Football" would probably like to see him join FCB. maybe they can help to close the deal.

Football Scout Claus Peter Meyer, who approached Colombian player James Rodriguez while he was playing in South America, says "there's no ceiling" to what he can achieve [...]

After 15 seconds of dribbling he seems exhausted.

James Rodriguez for 45mm??? Not going to happen. Ever. Other clubs are probably willing to pay more than 70-80.

Exactly which other clubs are you referring to?

You can already add top EPL teams on the list, then RM and Barca. Maybe PSG too. He's the IT player today, there's no point in riding the bandwagon.

The fact that Guardiola is with us, could be a decisive factor. All latin american players dream of playing under Guardiola.
So give it a try Bayern! The kid's worth it!

I disagree with you. There a few clubs that can and would pay so much for him. Barcelona will sign Suarez for 80+ mil. so they won't want to spend that big on another player. If RM buy Falcao and Kroos, they won't spend big on Rodriguez either.
Arsenal have they money, but they're neither appealing nor would they spend the money.
ManU have the money, but they're not very appealing and I doubt they would spend so much on one player, considering the amount of players they need to become competitive again.
Chelsea I doubt, their transfer policy has changed majorly, unless they sell Courtois and Lukaku for 50+ mil, they won't pay such a high price.
Why leave Monaco and go to PSG? They're very similar, wouldn't really be an upgrade (who cares about winning the french league?)
This just leaves City imo. If he's in it for the money and the choice is between us and City, he'll go to City, otherwise he will join us.

I highly doubt that he will leave Monaco and join us, but I don't really see any appealing club able to pay 70+ for him. Hence, I don't see him leaving for more than 45-50mil.

i agree with you. most clubs cant afford him because of other transfers and FFP.

and that's why monaco wont sell him. unless bayern or others pay more than 50.

Since when did anyone stop because of FFP?

He's already expressed his desire to play in La Liga, particularly to RM. Last year RM got Bale, Illara, Isco, Carvajal, etc. Do you really think they won't be able to shell out that kind of money again?

PSG is still a step up from Monaco. One, the quality of players. Two, they don't do that badly in CL for a "new" club. Chelsea didn't do badly selling their surplus players and they have more to sell if they want to.

If Falcao leaves, what's left in Monaco? Him and Moutinho? They might not even get out of the CL group stage, better join United and go straight to Europa.

if i am not wrong FFP is based on a 3-year period: 2012/13, 13/14, and 14/15.

so far i dont know if the last season ended with a profit or loss. so i dont know exaxctly if they could afford all these transfers and how much they can spend this time.
