Just to make this thread more active...

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola determined to sign Tottenham ace Harry Kane – report [source]

Why would he be that determined? And if so it means that he'll extend... and I'd expect one of our big shots offloaded if this rumor turned out to be true.

I very much doubt it. English and EPL's top scorer can only lead to one of the most ridiculous transfer fees in the footballing world.

Not only English and EPL, but Tottenham as well, which is always a bitch to negotiate with.

I know he has good stats, but since when does English players perform outside England.. Bale was destroying that league but now he's not even half the player he was..

I disagree, he was always going to have a drop in stats due to the smaller freedom he would enjoy at Real. In his final year at Tottenham he had the right to pop up everywhere pretty much. But this season has shown that whenever he is not playing due to injury Real really seem to struggle to break down defenses. He was never worth 100m, but he's developed into an excellent player nonetheless.

Bale has 16 goals and 11 assists in 20 la liga games this season, I don't see any dip in stats or form

I think we' will all have a better opinion on Kane after euros.

Kane is one of the few EPL talents I'd put my money on. He has been a complete striker in the past two seasons (this year maturing to a higher level). He can score all sorts of goals from all sorts of positions on the field. He's fast enough and is strong on the ball. His skill set may let him down a bit, but this can be improved with a better team/coach. Still, the amount of money that will be required to take him away from Tottenham will definitely be silly. I think he could end up in United or Chelsea who will be more than willing to splash the cash this summer with the target of returning to CL football next term. It is also a very strong possibility that he remains in Tottenham to actually play in the CL and go for another title challenge next season (or defend this year's title if they manage to pull it off).

Tottenham isn't really the place to shop, key players are only sold if player is ready to force the transfer and if contract expiry is within 2 years.
Any bid now would initially be turned down, and if Kane put pressure the price would still be £100m+
Kane is likely happy to remain at Spurs with Champions League next season, and I'm sure he's looking ahead to the new stadium in a few years too. Reckon he'll want to lead the team out when that comes around, being a Spurs fan himself.

1977, just curious, are you a Bayern fan, a Tottenham fan or both?
