Dier a better passer than Martinez is and we don't really know how good of a CM this version of Javi is after all those injuries...

However, as others mentioned, highly doubt Poch sells him, since Dier is part of the british staple in London (DIER-Ali-Kane)... Poch has a more skillful and technical player in Bentalb, but he's very undisciplined and injury prone and not an ideal fit for Spurs.

Well I'm still raising them. :P

Me too. Dier is good but his style is not remotely comparable to Franz.

I don't read that as he is a copy of Kaiser but it says that some people saw qualities in him... a compliment. :P
Der Kaiser was known for an elegant style of play... "he could've played with a suit on"... I see Dier in that category of players.

it's interesting because Poch signed wanyamma, his Dm back with the Saints...

Bringing in Dier would mean at least 1-2 cms getting sold.

However, with Spurs tying the former Sporting Lisbon player to a five-year deal only last season, any move would come at a significant cost for the Bavarians .

Highhly unlikely then.

Maybe in the future ...

But it would be really hard for Bayern to take an English player ...
Bayern 3-3-3-1 build-up under Heynckes :
Neuer - Boateng Hummels Thiago - Kimmich Vidal Alaba - Robben Müller James - Lewandowski
Neuer- Boateng Vidal Hummels- Kimmich Martinez Alaba- Robben James Ribéry- Lewandowski

Did you see how he disappeared in last nights game, we don't need no overrated English chokers in our team, wouldn't get anywhere near this team.

So the rumours are true, because Dier is the first name he mentioned in his column.

Interesting because I thought this Euros exposed him a lot, so much that I went from a huge fan to a doubter. He's got great defensive techniques but not the intelligence and judgment required to be a world class destroyer.

But if a CL-winning coach has a different opinion who cares about mine eh?
