Jancker would be impressive in that league. :)

I'm basing my opinion solely on this:
I could defend in some games just as good as Martinez... :P

We'll see if it's only me who thinks like that or there will be someone else more important who'll agree with me... :)

He was impressive against Germany... it was only a friendly, but he was their best player in that game and crowned his performance with a goal. I came here and said that he was MOTM in that game. If PL is low level football, he played Germans and was good at keeping some of them quiet...

He's got potential... all the skills are there for a defensive minded player with good vision. I think that we might be looking for one of that kind. Physically strong with an eye for perfect long rage passes but what I'm impressed most with his areal ability, he could really step up our game in that sector, even his tackles though.

Above all he seems a composed player with clean tackles... elegant.

We'll see how he does in the Euro... I think England will profit from this new generation more than the overhyped that retired. I like most this player and Dele Alli from that bunch, both youngsters from TTHAM.

In the other hand we've seen where Javi was best... and crucial. He's the best when he's roaming. He was not raised to hold a line... He could play in a 3 man defense though which is totally different from a backline of 4 in practice.

Dier was converted from cb to dm.

He has played well for Spurs, but the team is setup for him to play well. They front five press like beast and he has good help from the back with the 2 belgians and the proactive lloris.

Best spurs player this season has been between kane, toby or ali though

Eric Dier is the next Xabi Alonso? That's what Bayern Munich seem to think [source]

German outlet Bild claim that the reigning Bundesliga champions sent scouts to watch Dier when Spurs took on Borussia Dortmund in the most recent round of the Europa League.

According to the newspaper, Bayern now "have a crush" on Dier who can play as a holding midfielder, central defender or full back.

This guy has better headers than Xabi though... :P

I see him more as a Javi, which is even better than Alonso as far as I'm concerned. If I have to take an English player now it would be him over Alli or Sterling,

He reminds me more of Xabi with his plays... more elegance than Javi... except that he's more versatile and corpulent than Xabi... which is better. A young Xabi isn't bad... The updated Xabi.
Dele Alli is compared to Gerrard in the other hand... The updated Xabi and Gerrard reunited at TTHM, deja vu.

Despite being an Englishman means 99% failure abroad, I like him very much, bring the lad to Bayern so he can learn some modern football :P
It's a risk but we can buy him for a reasonable price I think, it's a big plus that he learned playing football at Sporting CP not England!

Moreoever, there is no other place for King Eric F*cking Dier than Munich, we have a kingdom here!
King Arturo,Kingsley Coman,König Franck and now King Eric, suck it Game of Thrones, Bayern Munich overtake

I don't really know much about him, but it's all praise whenever you hear his name. I'm always a bit conservative about English talents due to the EPL hype, but I do trust our scouts (especially over the past two years). Nonetheless, I believe this rumor will blow away once a Chelsea or a City come up with a 100m transfer fee for the guy :-|

Tottenham stars Dele Alli and Eric Dier have hit it off both on and off the pitch - they are the Premier League's blossoming bromance [source]
