“Milan are a great club. A big club, one of the largest in the world,” the Sweden international told Expressen.

“They have an interesting project in many ways. They are investing and want to take back the throne.

“Right now I am focused on the national team. I’ve had a great time in Leipzig and my agent has everything else under control.”

Milan are only in the Europa League preliminary round, but this doesn’t seem to concern Forsberg.

“The Champions League is not an important factor. I care more about what role a player has in the team.”

That makes no sense to me. if you care more about the role in the team, there's no reason for you to leave RB.

l don't know their detailed project. so l wonder what they will do with Forsberg and Keita. l hope they manage to keep them. otherwise, they can't be a serious threat for us.

Both Rangnick and Mintzlaff have said several times that they won't sell any core player this summer. They also told that the team. Not sure what Forsberg/his agent are playing at. He signed an extension three months ago. At the time he also said he'll stay in Leipzig next season.

Rangnick said he's already told Forsberg he won't let him leave, and with him being on brand new five year contract there's no point in pushing for another extension either. Maybe they think Rangnick made a wee joke telling him that. I seriously doubt that. Rangnick resigned in Hoffenheim under protest because they sold Gustavo against his will. If he says he won't sell he means it.

IMO the only chance that one of the core players leaves this summer is if UEFA doesn't allow them to play Champions League.

Is this even still a thing? I'm assuming UEFA aren't silly enough to leave this for the last minute now, are they?

I haven't heard or read anything new, other than all papers have been submitted to UEFA. However on Monday there's the draw for the CL qualifiers where RB Salzburg should be participating.

And here's Leipzig's site at UEFA: http://www.uefa.com/teamsandplayers/tea ... index.html

Notice the upper right corner; it says: "Playing in Champions League 2017/18; Status: active".

I don't know whether that means the decision has been made.

Next step is Milan? This is a joke?

First off, they need depth and more quality for CL and Bundesliga. Second off, Milan will compete for top 4 next season and lacks CL football. Staying at Leipzig for 1 more year will be already a next step for him.

What he and his agent mean is "next step for our wallets".

Would probably be my first option if Bayern doesn't get Sanchez.

This guy is crazy underrated. His season was on the same level as the one De Bruyne made in 2014/15.
Bayern 3-3-3-1 build-up under Heynckes :
Neuer - Boateng Hummels Thiago - Kimmich Vidal Alaba - Robben Müller James - Lewandowski
Neuer- Boateng Vidal Hummels- Kimmich Martinez Alaba- Robben James Ribéry- Lewandowski

If the Energy Drink Corporation doesn't want to sell to Inter, why would they sell to us?

The last thing you want is that moron of an agent to deal with. He's up there with Raiola as a bellend but on top of it he's incompetent.
