Can't say that Martinez' transfer is less complicated. :P

Doesn't look like we're missing Dzeko or even Gomez too much. The money is probably better spent on Martinez. :)

Let's hope Mario Mandzukic makes us forget about Dzeko.
Leave the financial aspect. I am sure there will be a rift with Dzeko had we signed him and not played him once Gomez returned as Dzeko demands.
So, hope it's a double good move we didn't sign him.

Dzeko is too similar to Gomez, Mandzukic is a different sort of striker

Speaking to Massimiliano Nebuloni of Sky Sport 24, City coach Roberto Mancini is open to the hypothesis of selling Edin Dzeko at the end of the season.

“In June, anything can happen. If my players ask to leave or if we have a chance to exchange them with other players or sell them at their value, I can do nothing but to oblige. But this is not only true for Edin, it is true for everyone.”

On the value of the Bosnian. “To me, he is a great player, one that needs to play more. How would he do in Italy? I think that he can score more than 20 goals. His value? More than 20 million.”

A difficult negotiation especially for the high transfer fee that Dzeko has. But at least Manchester City are willing to consider selling what rumored to be the top transfer target for Inter in the summer.

He'd be a dream signing for me too. Proven in Germany, England AND Europe, he shouldn't be too hard to sign either, and is the Mandzukic-Gomez combo we want.

Well, it's already known that Dortmund will be his choice if he decides to return to the Bundesliga.

Yeah, I don't imagine he'll be house hunting in Munich!

If we made him our target...i am quite sure he would choose us over dortmund...we can pay double their wages:)

And let's be honest...he is better than Lewandowski...and I would also say Gomez and Mandzo.

I wouldn't say so. He ain't even close professional as Gomez or Mandžo. They are far more disciplined and sacrificial than Džeko. In that segment he has no chance.

Reports suggest that he is going to join Dortmund. Lewandowski exit looking more likely by the day.
