He just scored his first goal in two months, so he is in a bit of a dip in form, but overall I agree with your comment.

He will be back, just he needs to play more from the 1st minute to have more chances of proving his qualities.

He is City top scorer if I'm not mistaken and he has missed some games because of injuries and rotations with Balotelli. I don't think they are going to let him go.

No , it is Sergio Aguero with 14 Goals
Dzeko is 2nd in Man City with 11 goals

but you are right yes , they are not going to let him go unless they can make huge financial profit from him

Would take Dzeko in a heartbeat but I just can't see it happening

Tevez being the mess he is with his tantrums every other week and Balotelli when he's not suspended out till 4am I think Dzeko is just to valuable to let him go. Hope they bring another striker in if they do that then maybe I see a chance of it but there strike force is just so lethal that I can't see him wanting to change that front 4 if they can get Tevez back to him best

As I said though if there's a chance it could happen would take him all day

Don't forget the other strikers they have though, namely Aguero and the forwards they have out on loan to other clubs (Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Guidetti and Nimely).

Rather than signing new strikers, I think they would be well advised to start selling unless they want UEFA to slap them a nice Financial Fair Play notice.

Man City are after Hazard and Van Persie too, so could force Dzeko out the team if one of them go to the Etihad.

Though we would love this transfer, Edin will certain find it tough to break into the starting 11 if Gomez keeps this form and he is concerned with his situation at Manchester only because of lack of regular playing time which will still be an issue if he comes here..
Besides, Manchester City will ask for loads of money considering how much they negotiated for the Boateng transfer. I dont think they will let him go for anything less than the money they bought and I dont think Bayern will bid soo much money for him.
Only advantage we have in this issue, if we are interested, is the number of strikers they have and the rule about the squad size.
But if this transfer does happen, its definitely a bomb signing as Uli promised!

Yep agree with that can see a lot of outgoings but if I remember rightly City have covered themselves nicely with a somewhere in the region of £1billion sponsorship deal that remarkably has come around just as the new rules come in so they can carry on spending at will

His future could well depend on Adebayor and Santa Cruz leaving but the form Adebayor has been in he shouldn't be hard to offload and Santa Cruz I believe may be out of contract soon (end of next season I think) so if they can loan him out for another year he's gone

Be interesting to see how it develops

I personally do not think we are spending top Euro for a Back Up striker; so that pretty much excludes most EPL clubs specially big spending City.
Then there is the bad blood between the clubs that needs to get cleared first. I am pretty sure they would like to hear offers from other teams first before even opening our e-mail.
I also don't think Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Guidetti or Nimely will be chosen on top of Džeko anytime soon. If they need to downsize, which they are not showing signs of, they have more affordable alternatives.
City is simply not a selling club. Even Boateng who they hardly used last season (I believe he managed to play less than half of the EPL games they had) was sold at a premium from their buying price. Even then KHR had to kind of mock them publicly to get them to answer the phone. (Go figure!)
Finally there is the matter of their other surplus striker and we all know what happened when they tried to sell him. If they couldn't get to agree on a price for Tevez, can you imagine what will they ask for Džeko?

I just don't see this happening. Not until they realize they will not be able to circumvent FFP rules with deals from sister companies IMO.
God, are you there? Shut up son, Gómez is scoring!

Keep in mind that there has been no interest from us. And Dzeko's current wages are in all likelihood the same as Gomez'. Seems like a load of bull, really.

Džeko is too similar to Gomez -- so why?? I like Müller - because he is a behinf the Striker and supports Gomez. Džeko won't sit on the bench, neither will Gomez -- so, we are going to have 2 box stikers or just one. Are we expecting to offload Gomez.

No to Dzeko for several reasons.

1. I don't want City to have any more of of Bayerns money.

2. He's too much like Gomez, if we buy a striker he needs to be a different style.

3. His wages and transfer would be too high.

4. This ship has sailed. I don't want to reopen the Dzeko transfer saga.
