The cost of bringing Berbatov to Bayern would be worth more than his value to the team. There are younger and better options out there.

Some threads ought not to be read by mentally depressed readers. This being one of them.

Yeah, I hope we don't get him either. My hopes are pinned on the source being Goal.com ;-)

It's the Daily Mail, it's even worse than Goal.com.

I will be happy. He is going to be back-up,he is 31 odd aint it??? IMO he's got a couple of good years left in him still, younger than Pizzaro who is 33 odd & younger than Olic.

He scores in heaps against average teams like Blackburn, expect heaps of goals against Aufsburg,Mainz type teams & in Cup matches. Different to Gomez, nice in link-up play & is a skilled player.

There is no BOMB coming. Let's be honest. A Bomb striker wont sit on bench if not for an astronomical fee, expect a 30-35 Million investment & a huge salary, both are unlikely considering there will be defensive reinforcements.

Berbatov is Highly Skilled , his last days in LEverkusen and his years in Tottenham prove that (he was WORLD CLASS)

now with Manchester united , even though he was top scorer , He is highly inconsistent , and DISAPPEARS IN BIG GAMES AND WHEN YOU NEED HIM

he can score 5 goals against augsburg , but he will not even cause danger to a team like Schalke !! (assuming that he stays like he is with manchester united , and i wont gamble on him changing because if he does not change , he wont do the job better than Petersen)

I have no desire to add Berbatov either, but as a bench option, it couldn't hurt as long as the price is reasonable - which I doubt.

Berbatocv contract gets over in June. So he either will be a free transfer or if MU give him a 1 year contract extension he will come for 5-6 Million. He is not 22-23 anymore.

Anyways would Bayern seriously spend 25-30 Million atleast that is required??? On a Dzeko or on a Tevez maybe. The so-called BOMB is way too expensive & would not agree to be a Back-up anyway(if he is young).

Pizarro is way too old for Bayern now & I believe Berbatov is slightly better & younger. Bayern wont even go after Cisse. I cant see any Great striker being linked anyway.

No need for A bomb to be honest

He is still 33 , same age of Klose , and look at them , they are really great

The Daily Mail, generally a source of entertainment for Bayernforumers, given the amount of crap and lies they come up with are now claiming that Dimitar Berbatov was spotted on a plane to Germany, saying he is close to Bayer or Bayern...

... and now The Sun & The Daily Star! If this constellation of newspapers continues with these news I think we ought to start worrying. I swear, he comes on board, I am officially jumping ship!
