According to tuttochampions.it, FC Bayern are after 21 year old Croatian international central defender Dejan Lovren, who is currently on the books of Lyon. Dejan Lovren has been capped 5 times for Croatia, and has previously played for Dinamo Zagreb.



Dejan Lovren is 1.88m tall and has sometimes also played as a defensive midfielder. His natural position though is in the center of defence. A transfer fee of 10 million euros is mentioned.

"Neither I nor my partner had any contact to Bayern Munich because of Dejan , Of course it would be a Big honor if A Club like this is interested , But he also already is in A Big Club with Olympique"

Thanks for the info, Element! Sounds to me like a come-and-get-me plea with a backup plan to remain if no big club is serious about him.

mutu, lovren is not even good to be back-up in our team...i personally think that he maximally reached his potential, and we cannot expect sometning big of him in future...i watched him many times cuz im from bosnia, and he is from croatia...what we don't need is another unproved young player...

I will tell you little bit about him and his 10 mil story.

First he may be potential but for 3-4 years, now he is attacked by French media and he play maybe 4-5 good games for Lyon
(one was against Real he was great against Adebayor, but on 2nd he was worse than Buyten/Badstuber clone on worst day)

Second ... my frieds are all in football and only things we talk is about football,
we talk about biggest buissnes make by his mennager Zdravko Mamic... Dejan Lovren
we still dont belive that he sell him for that count of money.
Its like Bayern sell Badstuber for 25mil euro.
His real price is maybe 3-4 mil euro, but 10 was joke.
Nobody was believed in that price when Mamic say that he will sell him but...
Zdravko Mamic is worst dictator/mafia guy in football but he is great seller, and he can sell bullsh.t for money.

Well, Lyon paid 10mil euros for him in January 2010. Transfermarkt.de has put his transfer value at 7mil euros. But I believe you that he's not good enough. I didn't quite believe this rumour, either.

hmmm it'll be a mistake to sign another young deffender we allready have badstuber w need an experienced centre back with him i think alex from chelsea would be awesome ... as for back up role i prefer also better options like Dante..

What? is this guy not even better than Dante. this is becoming a bad joke. Dante, pogatetz, lovren, and some unproven young defender. if all these romour are correct, we are going to have some funny team.

i didn't say better in playing but as you know we have some limited budget 60M so i think spending 10M on a back-up will be too much !!
