Another player off the list.

Dejan Lovren has extended his contract with Olympique Lyon to 2016.

In hindsight perhaps we should have signed this guy who has just moved to Liverpool.

"When I was a kid I had a dream about [playing for] Bayern Munich, they were my team," said Lovren. "I had my photos taken with Giovanni Elber, Basler, Lizarazu. I have all these pictures in my room." [source]

We missed to sign Bayern fan. He could jump into LB/RB position if we wouldn't have players available for these positions and also he would be a great backup player.

Now he'll improve Liverpool's defense as a standard 1st team player. Too bad, really. When Dejan left Dinamo Z. and moved to Lyon he's already known to speak both English and German. There wouldn't exist a single problem to adapt at Bayern.

Potential future move from Reds to Bayern would cost at least 40 mil €.

I don't follow Southampton but the fact Lalanna who was with them when they were in the bowels of English football wanted out, means there's something behind the scenes that forced their core members out. What I've read was the new management and their coach leaving to Spurs. One wouldn't expect a new member to stick through thick and thin if the core players wanted out.
