Yea, in today's age that's very rare and commendable. I also like him a lot as a player and consider him one of the top 3 defensive-midfielders nowadays. However, seeing him play for Bayern will only remain a dream.

German giants Bayern Munich are the latest side to check on the availability of Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi.

The Italian star has been attracting serious attention from both Real Madrid and Manchester United, with Roma thought to be prepared to consider high level bids.

Bayern are ready for a summer spending spree in the wake of their disappointing Bundesliga campaign this season, a campaign which saw Louis van Gaal leave his job as coach a year early.

Now the Allianz Arena outfit are rumoured to have set aside €30M for De Rossi if the player becomes available and, crucially, if he can be tempted to Munich ahead of Manchester and Madrid.

The attitude of De Rossi himself remains key, with Roma’s fans likely to be furious if new owner Thomas DiBenedetto sells a player regarded as one of their own.

We do not need a CDM , but if we want a CDM , I prefer others over De rossi (Nuri Sahin to name one) , and even IF want De Rossi , 30 million euros is too much for a new CDM

I don't like him, he's a big cheat. Here's just from the last World Cup:

I have to agree that De Rossi is a good player, but he has some very questionable ethics on the field of play that have not changed over the years and that is going all the way back to the McBride incident at the 06 World Cup in Germany and just most recently the elbow to Srna's jaw when the ref was not looking in the CL round of 16 game with Shaktar Donetsk. I really do not think that Bayern are in need of his services at this time CDM is one spot that we have options at already with Gustavo, Tymo, Kroos and Schweini. I would rather that Uli spend that money on central defenders!

He will probably sign a new contract and he will have a release clause of 15 million euro.

As of now he becomes a free transfer next year. Roma's final offer is 6 Million per year & we can give him 6.5-7 Million but that would inflate our wage deal severely. I dont know how much Tymo gets but I would be glad to pay 1-1.5 Million extra for De Rossi than what Tymo gets. I would exchange them in a heart beat.

Very good player but he would never come to us. I think more likely he will remain with AS Roma. If he decides to go abroad, it will be Manchester City or
Real Madrid. Mancini will do everything to bring in his country man. I would like to see instead Montolivo with Bayern.

They're idiots if this is true. They are going to sell him anyway, and he's worth more than 15 million and even if he wasn't, both City and Real would be willing to pay more. This contract extension is just for them to make some money from his transfer.

Yes that's the point. De Rossi loves the team but wants to leave, so they agreed that so that they would both get what they wanted.

Yeah, the thing is the clause should have been higher. I guess De Rossi didn't want it to be too high because it might put off interested teams, but it will never put off Real or City
