They're saying that they won't decide today. Probably they're still looking for a new coach and are discussing names and making phone calls and offers at this very moment.

If i remember correctly,he is the only one that win the CL with us in 2001.Hmm if we must choose between the CL spot and attractive foodball but UEFA,i choose CL spot .Attack is good but without defence it is dangerous

And what happened when WE GOT Hitzfeld after Magath was fired ( in an earlier point ) three or four years ago

Did Ottmar succeeded in winning in the bundesliga and getting the third place ?

the answer is No and we finished four with a long distance from third

I think nothing will happen today... As someone said earlier, they're probably looking for replacements to Van Gaal.

There might not even be a better coach than LVG out there but a trainer change usually triggers a motivation change in the players. It could make us play good football again even if the trainer is tactically weaker than LVG.

But ya we cant go on like this, we play predictable and one pass can split our defense so easily. LVG has such a great football brain but his own stubborness caused his own downfall.

I've always been a great supporter of LVG but right now I'm quite undecided on the matter. On one hand I'd love LVG to be our coach and bring us glory but on the other hand time is running out and we might not even make CL football. I think our chair should ask the players what they want. If they still back van Gaal and are willing to play their hearts out for him then he should stay. If they have lost their faith in him he should go.

I'm in the exact same position....

He's the only responsible of what's happening. LVG could have done different choices and we'll probably, along with him, be in another position. It was almost a joke from the start, playing irregular football, from winning a match 5-0 to losing 2-0. Maybe with Ajax worked, but nowhere at these days and with our players. He simply wasn't for us.

A good choice would be Rijkaard, I believe he would choose Bayern over Sporting. I'd like to see a german coach for now though.

Hitzfeld is the kind of coach that makes a system suitable to the available players he has, while LVG is the quite opposite: He tries to fit the players into an already made up system.
With Swiss NT I don't think that he could actually play an attractive-attack minded football.

Van Gaal is the best option now, as there is no other good candidate today, it is clear that we have played quite well sometimes with him, and with a couple of changes the squad would be again fit to fight for the CL place, of course the second spot is quite difficult, but hannover cannot be a challenger when we order some things in our squad. Rijkaard or any other coach who does not know the bundesliga would be a big mistake, we would need inmediate results, and he cannot give them.

in june we look for a new coach and that is all, the problem after all is the squad, we just have bad defenders, except for Lahm, a doubtful goalie, and no bench at all. And we have to put the blame on VG for this.
