Bayer Leverkusen forward Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez dismissed links to Bayern Munich and stressed that his meeting last month with Carlo Ancelotti in Canada was just a greeting.. [source]

"I saw him [Ancelotti] while I was in Vancouver with the national team to face Canada, yes. But we simply greeted each other and he spoke a bit with my wife. The rest are just rumours," Hernandez said. "I have always chosen competitive clubs at which there existed the possibility of winning championships. With Manchester United over four years, they won the Premier League title during two of those years, but the other two seasons they won nothing.

"While I was at Madrid, we won nothing. Being on the best team doesn't guarantee you any titles. Even Barcelona are susceptible to having seasons in blank. Sometimes clubs surprise us, such as Leicester this year. They are on the verge of making history. They are a good example."

So what's his point? That there is a possibility of winning a title with Neverkusen?

"I have a lot of love for Chicharito. He’s a very serious professional, and I had a very good relationship with him at Real Madrid," Ancelotti said at a news conference Tuesday. "I think now that he’s at Bayer Leverkusen, he’s going to be a very strong opponent, but an opponent is what he is. I’ve got to consider him an adversary. As I’ve said, the team is good as we are, and we’re going to give it all." [source]

Actually Chicharito coming off the bench is the best out there and quite perfect option for our team! I think that he can provide 10-12 goals in Lewandowski's place when he'll get rested! If Chicha is fine with it I'd welcome him with open arms for sure!

However Chicharito left MU & RM because he wanted a starting spot something that I respect but we can't have that at Bayern so I don't want a moaner in our team despite his quality at finishing. He is a Leverkusen quality player for starter for sure but not for Bayern Munich so if the board makes an approach to him and he accepts the bench/sub role I'm totally fine.

As for Ancelotti's statements about being fine with the squad, he said that repeatedly and we have more than a month for the transfer window to close, we lack a bench striker and a bench -quality- CB, I don't get it... Ancelotti rarely plays mind games and we definetely don't have a full squad because that means Martinez is moving back to CB, I can't comprehend that actually Badstuber will be a 3rd option...
Maybe the board asked him not to comment on transfer rumours because the price of our targets will immediately go up??? I hope so

me too.... although I didnt expect it

Chicharito is a rock solid player who would be a great addition... if they got anything close to his caliber as a backup to Lewandowski, I'd be thrilled.... I'm expecting a Klose type guy who will pretty much do what Pizarro did after Lewa arrived, which is barely play

There is one problem with chichadios : muller.

Unless carlo has another formation in mind he has no place even in the bench.

Former Manchester United ace Javier Hernandez reveals he could leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer [source]

'You never know what happens in football,’ the 28-year-old told Kicker.

‘In years gone by I have left my club on the last day of the transfer window. I thought I would stay in Madrid and I thought I would stay in Manchester but I joined Leverkusen in the end.’

I don't think he want to be a sub anymore ...

"Good strikers" are everywhere ... Bayern just need to be smart.

Just look at the #9 of Wales, he would have been a decent back-up for us ... he was free-agent ... Simple exemple ...
4-3-3 : Neuer - Kimmich Boateng Hummels Alaba - Goretzka Thiago James - Robben Lewandowski Gnabry
3-5-2 : Neuer - Boateng Hummels Alaba - Thiago - Kimmich Goretzka James Coman - Müller Lewandowski
