German player always should be a priority but on this RB spot there is nothing better than Kimmich so far ... Bayern should turn on italian or portuguese market.
Bayern 3-3-3-1 build-up under Heynckes :
Neuer - Boateng Hummels Thiago - Kimmich Vidal Alaba - Robben Müller James - Lewandowski
Neuer- Boateng Vidal Hummels- Kimmich Martinez Alaba- Robben James Ribéry- Lewandowski

Or consider playing Boateng as right back, considering there's hardly place for him as CB anymore?
Or try playing 3 at the back?
Kimmich can also play as RB, we really shouldn't just move for someone, just so we move for someone...

With Lahm retiring Boateng is the best option in squad
- he is intelligent
- he is physically strong and fast
- can not possibly doubt his defensive skills
- good technique, great passing and crossing skills
- already has experience playing RB

Boateng playing RB is better than Boateng sitting on the bench and as it is he's currently a better RB than Kimmich...though this is getting slightly off-topic perhaps, but I don't see these signing options any better than what we already have in squad with Boateng and Kimmich.

I really like Kimmich as a midfielder, so perhaps I'm also a bit biased.

If you want to build a mansion, the foundation must be made from bedrock

What that means is that putting the a good player in the correct position is much better than putting a great player in the wrong position.

We have the ability to buy players, Boateng knows that he is needed at CB, so does everyone else. He is in the top 3 CB's in the world. That position is his. He will not start every game, only Neuer will start every game when fit.

There is SportBild news that Ancelotti does not look favorably on Kimmich's side. Honestly Ancelotti may be losing one of Bayern's greatest talents, the time to put Kimmich on the side is now, then just wait for him to evolve and shine for years with us. We do not need the Henrichs, the position is of the Kimmich and in reserve the Rudy.

Interesting, maybe I am reading it wrong but to me it seemed like it was saying Ancelotti doesn't favor Kimmich as a RB...not that he doesn't "look favorably" on him at all...I think Ancelotti prefers Kimmich as a midfielder is all

"The Bayern bosses would like to see Joshua Kimmich as a RB but Carlo Ancelotti is not enthusiastic about the idea of that." This means that Carlo doesn't want Kimmich to be a right-back.

Probably...and he sees him as Alonso's replacement....

No. Kimmich's place is in midfield. He's going to be world class there. It's idiotic to have him at RB.

It's like having Xavi on your team and play him as a fullback. Just no.

Just sign either Walker or Semedo and be done with it. Henrichs is not good enough

Dammit... I mean, I'm really trying to be positive about the rumors, but seriously, ****, Reschke, do you know you're not working for Neverkusen anymore?! Crank it up a notch ffs, we want to compete for CL, not play the song when we luckily make it to CL on the last matchday! There ARE other players, you know?!

Playing Xavi anywhere on the pitch would be idiotic...totally overrated.
