Difficult choice being a Basque... but overall he did the right move imo

The main reason why Lizerazu left Athletic Bilbao for Bayern was decision to play for France instead of Spain. Athletic fans had threatened to him and he moved after only one season.

He starts to play for France 4 years before to join Athletic Bilbao.

Plus the problem wasn't he played for France but his coach ... who was french and a 100% ass. Luis Fernandez.

By the way, this "ass" just said some month ago "A lot of defender are better than Boateng, even Marquinhos is easily better than him". :coffee:

Deschamps is a basque.

Griezmann and Laporte aren't.

Griezmann has alsacian origin (north-east of France) and lived in Macon (center of the country).
Laporte indeed has basque origin but are from Agen, and it's not the "basque country".

I had the impression that they were both.
Therefore Griezmann is German hence the strange surname.

This probably the dumbest thing Deschamps will ever do. How hard could it have been, just put him on the field for once and tie him up.

Deschamps prefers strong and noskill, nobrain defenders like Sakho and Mangala

Good thing he doesn't coach Bayern.

His football is so bad.

All about win and defend except against team like Iceland or Ireland.

what happened to our interest in this guy? I know that our former coach wants him hard but are we still after him ?
