Wait, seriously? You want Alaba to permanently be a CB and Robben turned into a CM? Like for reals?

Ideally for Alaba yes! And definitely worth at least trying Robben in the centre for the reasons I've mentioned elsewhere...

Thiago. United was dying for him.

It doesn't matter cause the universe doesn't turn around 1 or 2 players, Bayern knows it...

Well... It kinda does... Had we gotten Neymar instead of Barça, last 3 years might have been very different.

That's hypothetical... I can also claim that someone else could've done better without him. Leicester for example, other teams have "better" players but they're still gonna win the league.

Cesteris Paribus (all other things been equal), we would have done better.

It's easier for Brazilians to adapt in La Liga... neglecting many other factors... and many were saying Goetze > Neymar... Imagine Goetze under a different manager... imagine Neymar in a different culture... all hypothetical.
You could also say that Goetze under a different manager would've continued his development and set himself > Neymar.
Neither was desperately needed... we were pretty much complete.
