No, not really. Would've had one of Tymo or Gustavo bitching for the last 6 months, for one. And Kroos played in CAM even more than he has. Still fine with not getting Vidal.

I think we're missing someone like him during all the time Schweini has been injured. Just my opinion of course

Well, yes, and how long was Schweini fine? 4 months. That's four months of 4 CMs who all want a starting spot. Unless we would've switched to a 4-3-3 (which, considering Jupp's rigid insistence on the 4-2-3-1, we wouldn't have), it'd have been a disaster.

Well the CM is one of the few positions which Jupp likes rotating.

I think... If we had signed Vidal.... He would have played alongside Schweini as a starter CDM.... We would have had a very solid central midfield.... and much more effective both in defense and attack....

Alaba would have been used as a backup for Ribery.... where he is most efficient.... (Maybe he has a future at CDM... But he is too young/inexperienced for that right now.... he needs to ripen for that with age... just like Schweini)

Tymo and Gustavo were our backup CDMs who could have helped when Schweini got injured.... Maybe they would have played a few games as a defender....

Many were against it, putting their faith in Gustavo/Tymo, but I was of the opinion that we needed Vidal... and I still think so... Too bad it weren't meant to be....

Vidal would have been good.

But i still believe that Tymo is good enough in defensive mentality. He makes some great challenges and anyhow we would have way too many CDMs if we signed Vidal.

Yes but Vidal is not only good at defending. He's a much more balanced player

I think those that are saying we're better off without Vidal just don't want to believe how badly we got screwed over and don't want to accept the fact that not everything goes our way.
Lets be honest. Vidal is way better than Gustavo or Tymoshchuk, and is one of the key men behind Juventus' success this season. Imagine we had him next to Schweinsteiger. Our midfield would be so strong both offensively and defensively.

Well, he has been a complete disgrace for his NT which, in turn, has been a complete disgrace all by themselves.

I really think we made a bad blunder not signing Vidal. He would have been great under Heynckes. Oh well, the story at Bayern -- regret later.

We did not make any mistakes.... It was totally out of our hands... And Voeller insisted on selling him to Juve... despite the miserable price they paid... He f*cked both Leverkusen and Bayern IMO...

Guardiola put Vidal on new Bayern list

The former Barcelona coach has named his ideal new players for Bayern Munich with Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal could be on his shortlist.

Here is the problem, we are being linked with players in positions that are already full.
