On Vidal's transfer rumor (Translated -very poorly- by google):

"Vidal makes no bones about the fact that he was attracted by the offer of the master record. "When I return to Germany, I will deal with the issue," said Vidal, who is staying at present with the national team in his home country."

Mmmm... so there is an offer after all...

I would find it stupid to see our board spending 15+ million for Vidal even if they get a GK,LB and CB before.

Vidal is a great midfielder and he could have been a great addition to the team... but not now. We bought Gustavo and we also have Tymoshchuk.

Unless Heynckes has some kind of 4-3-3 in mind (don't think so) Vidal is totally unnecessary IMO

You could have seen it coming that this rumour was gonna be heated up again, once Heynckes would be confirmed as our new head-coach for next season. Vidal is supposed to be his favorite player at Leverkusen. His statements after the Chile game were pretty straightforward, I didn't expect them in that kind of clarity, especially after he said just a week or so ago that Leverkusen fans have nothing to worry about. What I was wondering, he’s been in Germany for about 4 years now and still can’t speak any German? Doesn't really point to a professional work ethic outside of the pitch. Total opposite to Gustavo in that segment.

Gustavo didnt come cheap !! why would we also get Vidal if we already have too many players packed in the midfield ??? for me I would have preferred Vidal from the beginning but now if we get him it would be money lost :S this deal is confusing !!!

I guess Tymo, Altintop and Ottl are on the way out, maybe even Pranjic, so Vidal could be realistic. Still, what happens to Gustavo?

Even with Tymo, Altintop and Ottl out...

We still have Gustavo, Schweini, Kroos... I dont think we need another CM....And i think Tymo or Pranjic one of them should stay. Cause both are versatile for different reasons.

We also have Ekici coming back, no need for Vidal unless he plays LB or CB.

Yeah, it still won't be a priority, but it would be understandable if they move for him.

I forgot Ekici though

vidal has said that coming to bayern is very interesting and appeals to him. He will sit down at the end of the season and see what he will do. I think he will come to bayern, hes heynkes favourit player.

I still don't want him unless Tymo is leaving.

If we get him I see three consequences

- Tymo leaves
- Gustavo becomes a permanent CB for us (a.k.a we do not sign any CB's)
- Kroos/Muller compete for 1 spot.

Obviously at this point in time Vidal is a better CM/CDM than anyone we have in our team to partner with Schweini...it just means that we will have to have a Badstuber-Gustavo CB pairing then...which is OK. :?

I mean
----------------------Neuer--------------------
Lahm---Badstuber----Gustavo----Coentrao

Is not as bad as it may sound cause.
-> We keep asking for a fast CB cause we play a high line of defense, Gustavo is fast, he is technical for passing and his tackling is amazing. He sucks at headers and positioning but with Neuer's LEADERSHIP -> I think this defense could be very solid.

But I dislike the 3rd point, Kroos and Muller competing for one spot is pretty sucky.
