From sportmediaset:

''IL PADRE DI ROBBEN: "NON SO SE RINNOVIAMO"

Hans Robben ha risposto alle domande della rivista tedesca Kicker sul rinnovo di contratto del figlio Arjen, in scadenza nel 2017: "Non so se firmeremo per un altro anno. Ci siederemo a parlare e poi vedremo quale sarà la situazione".

'' We don't know if we will renew for another year. We will sit down and talk it out and then we will take stock of the situation. ''

It's called negotiation.

Ancelotti: "I don't think there will be any problems if Robben wants to stay. It's up to the club now. But there is still time to talk about it."

It is all clearly all related to whether he can stay fit for a good period of time or no. Ribery has proven he can still be a valuable asset for the club in the coming years, so his renewal is going to happen for sure. Robben just came back from a long layoff, so it's his chance to prove himself as an asset as well.

This is a make or break season for Robben, the club obviously appreciate everything he has brought to the club but for a club as big as Bayern the pressure to be the best in Europe requires world class players who can stay fit.
Welcome to the Allianz Arena....

it's so early to talk about an extension. First, Robben should play 15-20 games in a row without any injury.

How often in his entire career did he play 15-20 games in a row? It's not how many he plays in a row, it's how much we're going to pay him, because if his salary is right I wouldn't mind keeping Robben even if he only plays 2 matches a season, because his quality is still there. Obviously, we would need to pay him a salary that is relative to his playing minutes. His quality, however, is quite undisputed even when coming back from long-term injury.

What l wanted to say is, he should first deserve the extension. He did very good at one game and everyone talks about renewing his contract. 15 games without injury might be exaggeration. However, Robben should do more than one game for deserving the extension.

l want us to offload one of Ribery/Robben and signing one winger who can make WC contribution. Costa was injured so far. Coman still to make an impact, Ribery is injured. Robben can injure himself anytime.

Whatsoever, if we lower their wages and team roles, with signing the winger we need, l'd not say no to them. But first they should accept the bench role.

When fit, he's still very valid, and opponents are scared of him. He's our not-so-secret weapon.
