Yeah, unless Heynckes or whoever comes after him (let's not forget that he is old) doesn't plan to turn Kroos into a CM anytime soon, we will have to get someone once Tymo leaves. Gustavo has many years ahead of him, and Schweini is not old yet, but like you said other than them we don't really have anyone, since Alaba and Kroos are preferred in other positions and Can would still be quite young even in 3 years time.

Personally, I like to think that Heynckes will stay until 2014 with Loew joining Bayern after the WC, in which case changing Kroos to a CM would be realistic (at least from the present point of view, we don't know how he will develop). But of course, this is just imagination and dreams. We don't know what will happen and when.

A clause in Tymoshchuk's contract has been revealed that allows for a one-year contract extension if he plays in 25 matches this season, in all competitions. The only condition is that he must be on the field for at least 45 minutes for this automatic contract extension.

So far, he has 18 matches under his belt, and so his contract will soon be extended by a further season when he features in 7 more matches.

"Timoschtschuk contract will be extended automatically," said Heynckes in an almost casual way in an interview with kicker.

Yeah, we knew about this. He might still want a transfer though (although this is his best season with Bayern)

Tymoshchuk said the he would like to extend his contract here

and that he hopes that there will be discussions between him and Nerlinger about that this week

Tymoshchuk said " I am Happy Here , My wife and children too. We Have Bought A House here"

Notes:
-Tymoshchuk wants to be clear about his future before Euro2012
-Tymoshchuk has an option in his contract that automatically extends his contract till 2013 if he plays a specific amount of matches

Good news if he stays. Solid in that position beside Schweini. Not 100% sure Gustavo is ready to be first choice CDM, so we need Tymo here.

I think Gustavo will mature into our big-game CDM option, but Tymo is a fine option to have for a long BuLi campaign. Hope he stays on for at least a year indeed.

EVen though I dont like Tymo much & he is too slow for my liking he is still a great guy. Very Experienced decently good CDM & does not create issues if benched. Nice player. Gustavo for me can a World Class CDM. Everyone can have a barren run, even World Class players do. Jupp must trust Gustavo & start him. Gustavo is as ready as anyone.

Having said that long season,3 competitions & possible injuries. We need both of them. Tymo for another 2 years till Can steps up or we get one of the Bender bro's.

Gustavo was my favorite buy in the past year. I am bummed he is not getting to start as he should. I think in terms of natural physical attributes only Schweinsteiger comes close to beating him i.e. combination of strength, speed, agility, aerial ability, stamina.

He doesn't have a grand view of the game, true. He's superb when told to stick to a single target in marking, but not much in a collective defense or creative when going forward. Tymo is the opposite, he reads the game really well, which is vital for a player lacking pace.

And if we could take the best qualities of both Gustavo and Tymo into one player then we would have ourselves a real force at CDM. And who knows what position Kroos will finally end up at too.

Well, it would be interesting as both Tymo and Gustavo are great as CDM, yet they are so different. An Anatoly Gustavo with best qualities of both, would be a beast :)

I dont get the Gustavo does not get the wider picture. How much do Khediera or Lars Bender get the wider picture. This is ridiculous.

You cant expect a 22-23 year odd old to have the intelligence & experience of a 32-33 year old. This is 1st Big Club. Give the kid time to develop his other sides. Nobody is perfect. Badstuber gets multiple chances to fail & succeed. Gustavo needs to play regularly & he will develop furthur. His Decisions are always wrong is an Absolutely Ridiculous comment.

His judgement might not be the best & he could learn a bit more but this is pure & horrible exaggeration.
