Virgil van Dijk set to become most expensive defender ever as Manchester City near £60m deal
The Saints defender has moved to the Etihad and will earn around £200,000-a-week, according to reports.

Virgil van Dijk has a capacity to catch the eye. He's a centre-back with the technical ability of a midfielder, a defiant defender who can pop up anywhere on the pitch, a charismatic figure who seems to exert a magnetic effect on the ball. Three players from the ambitious "middle class clubs" have had transformative effects in grander surroundings. The most obvious example is N'Golo Kante, well on his way to securing back-to-back titles for himself; Chelsea struggled before his arrival while Leicester haven't yet been able to replace him. Also, two of van Dijk's former teammates spring to mind: Victor Wanyama has cemented his spot in the Tottenham team while Liverpool look a lesser side when Sadio Mane is missing. Now,it's van Dijk's time. Here i've got defensive comparison between him,Hummels,Ramos,Bonucci and Godin. He's good enough to play for any team in the world.

Premier league clubs don't waste too much time.

Liverpool close in on £35m signing of Mohamed Salah from Roma.
Liverpool have moved a step closer to signing Mohamed Salah from Roma, after the winger agreed personal terms in principle in a meeting with Jurgen Klopp, according to Sky in Italy.
Sky in Italy understand that Salah met with Klopp in Liverpool in the last few days, but the clubs are yet to agree a fee and Roma are holding out for £35m (€40m).Sky sources reported last week that Liverpool had seen an initial £28m offer rejected for the Egypt international but remained in talks over a potential deal.f he moves to Anfield he will become Liverpool's second signing of the summer window, following Chelsea's Dominic Solanke.

Zagadou is a good, promising player... I'm a bit jealous of Dortmund's youth signings this year and last

this happened several days ago, but it is claimed that the president of Monaco flew to Munich in his private jet... let the speculation begin!

It' the Vice-President, Vadim Vasilyev, who negotiates deals for Monaco, not the President and owner, Dmitry Rybolovlev.

Arda Turan will be staying at Barcelona until the end of his contract, according to the player's agent. The Turkish midfielder, 30, had been linked with a switch away from the Nou Camp this summer after struggling for playing time in his two years there. But his agent Ahmet Bulut said: "Arda is not going anywhere. Barcelona's directors are happy with him. We haven't spoken to any club about a transfer.
"The stories that have come out in the media that he will be leaving have annoyed Arda. And nor has it gone down well with board members at the club; Arda Turan will see out his contract."

PEPE TO PSG?
Pepe is set to leave Real Madrid to join Paris Saint-Germain, according to Marca. The Spanish paper reports that the 34-year-old defender, who was left out of the squad for their Champions League final win on Saturday, will pen a two-year deal with the French giants.

ARSENAL JOIN SANDRO RACE
Arsenal are the latest club to join the race to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus, according to Calciomercato.it.The Gunners have reportedly joined Manchester City and Chelsea in the battle for the €40m-rated star.

JUVE AGREE SZCZESNY DEAL
Sky Sports News HQ understands Juventus have agreed a deal in principle to sign Wojciech Szczesny for €16m (around £14m) from Arsenal. The Italian champions have reached agreement with the Poland international over a four-year contract worth £3.5m per season.Szczesny has impressed the domestic double-winners during a two-season spell on loan at rivals Roma, who finished runners-up to Juventus in Serie A this season. However, the 27-year-old is likely to spend his first season as understudy to Gianluigi Buffon, 39, who is set to retire after the final year of his current contract in Turin.

I have heard some Dortmund friends speculate they want another winger to fill in for Reus (injured yet again) and that he could also play as striker for them as well if Auba goes (would be a fail move, but)

I think Philipp plays as a CF as well.
They have also Mor to add to the offensive players ...
Ishak (the Swede)
Pulisic
Dembele
Philipp
Mor
Reues?
Goetze?
Aubameyang?

Yes that's about right...Reus is expected to miss a good bit of the early goings, most of them think Mor will be loaned out, Götze still out indefinitely, and Schürrle has been injured a bit but also just not very good. Auba and Isak would be at CF but I think most are convinced Auba is gone and they won't be comfortable with just Isak at CF.
So then you've truthfully just got Dembele, Pulisic, and Reus as first-team quality wingers at the moment, with Reus being out as we all know. So while it seems a bit crowded when everyone is healthy and present, I don't think adding another winger is a terrible idea overall.
However if they're counting on Isak and Philipp to replace Aubameyang I think that's a huge mistake.
