We need an emergency GK in fact, slightly better than Ulreich.
Pepe Reina was an excellent option back then, we need something like that, experience but not finished. A young GK won't work well with Neuer, he is untouchable(deservedly) and has at least 4 solid years in front of him if he stays healthy.

Adler would be perfect but I respect that he wants to continue to prove himself as a number one GK, I heard Stekelenburg is available, it would be a decent choice.

So Robben is injured again, just as he returned from an injury. We need another winger. Our options in attack right now : Lewi, Muller, Coman, Ribery(only a matter of time before he's injured again.) I know the season just started but damn we're one injury away from chaos. If we could just get Martial or Lemar we'd be fine. It's obvious it's time to move on from Robbery this winter.

What did you expect? It's never good business for a club to say who they want to sign. Especially this late in the transfer window.

I like his answer. To me the coach and the board are still open to sign a player that can help us this season.

Interesting. A week ago he said that he was happy with the squad and didn't need any more players. :coffee:

Come on now.. that's enough

I'd want to avoid the first two of those teams but United doesn't really scare me like Madrid, Juve or PSG.

To be honest, the possibility of being knocked out by United is the scariest of them all for myself. The most supported club in Malta is Manchester United and I've been trolling United fans for several years now. I wouldn't be able to go out from home if that happened :?

I'd be silently optimistic if we draw United in the Ro16. We just have too much quality in our team and should be able to win against Man Utd.[/quote]United seem to be more dangerous than City though

I don't know how reliable is this, but Dortmund might be trying to sign Mesut Özil :coffee:

With rudy, thiago, tolisso and vidal as MF as renarenato is likely to go, we can't work just with muller, james, lewa, ribery, robben and coman. I don't think draxler is nearly an answer. What happened with lemar?

Going to Liverpool...
Bernardo and Lemar both likely cost less more than 100m... I think that's something our management could pull (50-55m per transfer) to stay competitive... But polemics in this forum has people branded as demanding "overspending" and "galactico signings"...

Anyone else getting extremely concerned about other teams getting young talent and we are not not being active in doing the same? You see Juventus, Liverpool, Utd, PSG, etc being active.

Yea, the Lemar thing has been really frustrating.
IMO he is every bit as good as Mbappe if not better, every club in England thinks they can land him for €50m and yet apparently we are happy to just go with Coman and continue overplaying Robben and Ribery and Müller out of position, until we sign Brandt for cheap next year or something. As you probably know I am actually a pretty big fan of Brandt but I'm even higher on Lemar and at the price he'd seemingly be available it's infuriating that we're just sitting on our hands.
