They should at least give the quote in a context. He's talking about a Lewandowski back-up.

I would have prefer to heard they trying to get a Lewandowski backup ...

They are smart enough to know who a Lewy backup will do more harm than good...
And considering the likely quality of someone who can be willing to take the job better trying James as false nine or call Evina from the junior team...

- He didn't rule out attacking signings in general, just a back-up for Lewandowski (Lewandowski will play most matches and we won't find anyone that will sit behind him and has the quality)

I still don't see more attacking options being added, we seem committed to given Coman a shot....

Maybe we're only waiting for an opportunity to arise.
Should Alexis come towards us we probably wouldn't say no, but at the moment we're out of it.

Well, I think if Sanches leaves and the coach has his mind on a 4231 for most of the season, we need another attacker, because 6 incl. Robbery for 4 positions is not good. In midfield we'd be alright though.

I can't rule out anything, as always Bayern looks right and turns left when it comes to transfers! Quite unpredictable in the last 3-4 years. So many players coming out of nowhere, so many lighting-fast transfers of "world class" players plus Guardiola's appointment which was shocking.

I can't exclude another transfer but I'd say that they are waiting for the opportunity to bring a super player. I don't think that they will go for a talent or a meh player except if back up striker. If that super footballer becomes available in their terms then it will be over. A.Sanchez said publicly that he wants CL football. I don't think that we'll knock his door but if his manager asks then... boom.

Rummenigga doesn't seem like someone who would shy from announcing "we ain't spendin' no more" the first chance he gets, so I'm kinda optimistic.

After Hummels & Sanches double announcement last year, they were quick to close the window.
