Er, kids....this isn't new information. He's said before he wants and expects reinforcements. What you're seeing now is Bild taking that interview and the quotes about the Torjagerkanonne, and fabricating a new story to sell in the off-season.

Yeah I know, if it was for you we'd be playing with Rudy, Gnabry and a bunch of other deadweights and compete for an EL spot...

Those two players cost 8 million, that is one of the best mid in the Bundesliga this season and one of the best young prospects. I am all for complaining but this seems a bit too early let's wait till the window closes or when the board says we are done. We all want Bayern to make it but we are not in crisis we still have an experience starting team that yes needs fine tuning ( hopefully get in some players plus Mueller will be back to his old self) and we are slowly injecting young talented players in our team. We need to strengthen which is true but don't complaint at the start see what they do and if its rubbish, I will personally join the outcry and anger.

Look, I never judge too soon or poorly... Bit these are players that are RIGHT THERE, I see them EVERY **** gameday, what's there to wait for? You never read those kinds of comments from me about Coman, about Sanches even Pranjic and Braafheid... But I know these players, they're not Bayern material, let alone as starters...

DeBruyne - Lewandowski - Robben
------------ Thiago - Pjanic
----------------- Kroos
Alaba - Hummels - Boateng - Kimmich
---------------- Neuer

This could be us, but you're way too stingy and sleepy.

It's fascinating. We've been spending so much money in the last couple of years.
What's the problem? Instead of spending 80-100 Million on someone that will definatly help us the next 5-7 years, we spend 120 million on different players inside the same span.
I really don't get it, is that what reasonable economic activity looks like?

No Vidal, no Costa, no Alonso, no Renato, no Sanchez, Tolisso or ****.
Instead 80 Million for de Bruyne, 40 Million for Pjanic and a pay-rise for Kroos.

Nah...

Monaco have signed Belgium's young player of the year Youri Tielemans from Anderlecht for a reported 25m euros (£21.63m).
The midfielder, 20, agreed to a five-year deal with the French champions.

I find that gathering all transfers from all clubs into one thread is a bad idea, it's very confusing and it's virtually impossible to find an info quickly.
The best in my opinion is to stick to what we were doing before.

I think you'd be disappointed with the performance of that lineup.

De Bruyne is not a winger, similar to how Muller is not a winger. 34 games as a #10 for City this season = 7 goals + 17 assists. 11 games as wide player/wing = 5 assists.

A midfield 3 of Thiago, Pjanic and Kroos is super soft. Kroos is not a #6, that's why Madrid put Casemiro behind him and Modric.

However, I do agree with you that Bayern should have kept Kroos, and I also agree that Costa, Alonso, and Sanches were not good signings.

I think Pep had a lot of influence on the transfers of Xabi, Costa, Bernat, Coman, Kimmich, and Thiago.

Don't need a €20M p.a striker to win the Bundesliga.

You have to see it from his aspect. He joined Bayern with a main reason being that he wanted to win the Champions League, yet the closest he came to doing so was whilst he was at Dortmund.

Let's look at how much we've spent in past seasons.

2016/17 - €70m (received €52.3m, balance €17.7m)
2015/16 - €88.5m (received €33m, balance €55.5m)
2014/15 - €53.4m (received €53.7m, balance -€0.3m)
2013/14 - €62m (received €40m, balance €22m)
2012/13 - €70.3m (received €0.5m, balance €69.8m)

So since and including our treble-winning season we averaged a balance of €32.94m. I don't want to sound alarming but our current balance is of €34m (€51m spent, €17m received), so we are already above our average for transfer money spent minus transfer money received.

Players we sold since winning the treble, and their current market value.

13/14
Tymoshchuk (moved on a free, retired)
Riedmüller (moved on a free, no data on market value)
Petersen (sold for €3m, 4 years down the line valued €3.5m)
Can (sold for €5m, 4 years down the line valued €15m)
Gomez (sold for €15.5m, 4 years down the line valued €7.5m)
Gustavo (sold for €16m, 4 years down the line valued €14m)

Total sold: €39.5m
Current value 4 years later: €40m

14/15
Kroos (sold for €30m, 3 years down the line valued €70m)
Mandzukic (sold for €22m, 3 years down the line valued €20m)
Contento (sold for €1m, 3 years down the line valued €2m)
Schöpf (sold for €0.4m, 3 years down the line valued €7.5m)
Raeder (moved on a free, 3 years down the line valued €0.2m)

Total sold: €53.4m
Current value 3 years later: €99.7m

15/16
Shaqiri (sold for €15m, 2 years down the line valued €15m)
Schweinsteiger (sold for €9m, 2 years down the line valued €4.5m)
Dante (sold for €4.5m, 2 years down the line valued €2m)
Reina (sold for €2m, 2 years down the line valued €2m)
Kirchhoff (sold for €1m, 2 years down the line valued €3m)
Kurt (sold for €0.5m, 2 years down the line valued €0.4m)
Weiser (moved on a free, 2 years down the line valued €9m)
Pizarro (moved on a free, 2 years down the line valued €1m)

Total sold: €32m
Current value 2 years later: €36.9m

16/17
Götze (sold for €22m, 1 year down the line valued €20m)
Hojbjerg (sold for €15m, 1 year down the line valued €8m)
Rode (sold for €12m, 1 year down the line valued €8m)
Green (sold for €0.3m, 1 year down the line valued €0.7m)
Lucic (sold for an unknown number, 1 year down the line valued €0.25m, not including in stats)

Total sold: €49.3m
Current value 1 year later: €36.7m

This should put to rest those who think Bayern aren't a charity club when selling players. On the plus side last summer we did well. But I find it worrying that players we sold 4 years ago currently have more value than what we sold them for 4 years ago.
