Then why are you mad at Acer for your own failure to keep your computer clean of viruses?

I had an Acer and it lasted five years before it basically just stopped working, but after a year it certainly wasn't performing great, but I put that down to the amount of ripped uni software and thousands of songs and video's I had on it!

My girlfriend has an Acer netbook and it's just shit. Not her choice, it was an insurance "alternative equivalent" replacement after a burglary at my old flat.

Laptop vs Tablet is a big topic really and I cant get into it much from phone (I m on vacation now), but I ll try.

It all comes down to what kind of user you are. Tablets do some specific jobs really good and speciallized for the end user. Laptops have more potential to do more things but they need more effort / maintenance. Personally I would always choose laptop for the things I need to do, as tablets are too limited in some areas. But then, a tablet is easier to have and use in most of the places and I admit I enjoy doing so but at some point I always find that I need to something I cant and move to desktop/laptop to do it...

I prefer hp laptops ( I have 3 working fine for many years) but Toshiba and acer are ok too...

I don't need to to know that hardware has nothing to do with viruses for the sake of titballs.

Thats not 100% correct.

First of all there are some pieces of hardware (namely servers hp with hpux, ibm with aix or ex-sun with solaris who are virus free - mainly because they can only have some more stable, virus free variants of unix. But in a perspective those types of hardware are virus free.

Second there is a new virus targetting bios firmware, so it can target only specific type of bios / hardware.

In general you are right, that until now, virus targets software, and its a software issue but not 100% correct.

I thought I'd assume BayernLove does not use an Unix-based system. :P
