MoFattal wrote:Hey guys, I have a problem and don't know how to fix it. I got a new keyboard for my PC, but the numbers above the letters pad do not work, except for 5 and 6. I googled the issue and found many people with the same problem, but none with a solution. I tried the keyboard on another PC and it works just fine. Anyone has a suggestion? I tried rebooting, changing USB ports, and re-installing the driver to no avail.

Thanks.

Keyboard : Genius KB-110 USB-type
Driver : Automatically downloaded - no CD with the keyboard
OS : Windows XP service pack 2 - tried on another PC with windows XP and it worked

First of all, and this is almost definitely unrelated, why are you still on Windows XP and not even on the latest service pack for XP?

Secondly, what do you mean by 'automatically downloaded'? Can you go into the Genius website and download the drivers from there?

No USB keyboards are plug and play. Don't need any special drivers.

This happened on my laptop some keys especially the FN are not responding thought it was broken but I installed Win7 on another partition because playing games in Win8 is giving me compatibility issues and the keys are working again.

Well, that's my work PC and that's what they're using in our office :D

Secondly, you cannot get the driver from the website. I was using device manager. It is plug-and-play as runaway said.

You are correct, I had assumed he had a special gaming keyboard for which it's recommended to have drivers.

I've never encountered this problem with a standard keyboard.

Are you on 32-bit Windows or 64-bit?

32-bit

Then you should upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 3.
You might be super lucky in that it helps.

I have a camera with wifi capability. The camera's wifi works perfectly when I use it to connect with my phone or upload to Facebook, Google Drive, YouTube etc. However, for some reason my laptop and camera cannot detect each other despite being connected to the same network. The laptop's wifi also works perfectly apart from this problem. Any idea what could be the cause? Maybe some settings?

You need to define what you mean by "cannot detect each other". Too little detail.

Basically I go to the camera's wifi menu and choose the option to detect computers on the same wifi connection. Once I click "Add a device" it is supposed to list the computers on that network for you to work one. I have the necessary software installed (provided by Canon) on my laptop. This used to work until a few days ago when I last checked, but stopped doing so since I tried again yesterday. I tried removing my laptop from the camera's known devices but have not been able to detect it again.

To give you an idea, this is how it's supposed to look, using the phone menu instead.

Try disabling your firewall and see if that helps.
