I wish to see Ze Roberto again at Bayern, maybe coaching the youth team with Hoeness!

What a legend. And to think Brazilians usually peter out when they hit 30... 8)

I hope we'll have him in some sort of memorial match some day. Maybe at Schweini's ?

I feel he deserves his own but it's been a bit long now.

Would have loved to see Ze Roberto and Thiago playing together! Thiago reminds me a bit of him.

A relative met Gremio's president a couple of years back. He said the dude must have spoken about Ze Roberto for about a half hour. He said of all the players he had, none took care of themselves like Roberto. Then he spoke about his professionalism. In an age where Brazilians are known (players) for their indiscressions (Garrincha, Ronaldinho) the opposite cases are unfortunately großly overlooked (Costa, Roberto.)

Zé Roberto was like good wine: he got better with age. That kind of development doesn't happen with anyone who isn't an extreme professional.

Ze Roberto: "Bayern made a mistake with the hiring of Ancelotti. But, it's difficult to find someone who's on the level of Pep Guardiola, or at least someone who shares some of the same philosophies"
