WOW!! We have two legends retiring from the game with us this season! Shows class from our side. We have to make the UCL final for both of them.

Some people who know nothing about football say that Spain was the best team ever because they were able to win the WC and the Euro and still play Alonso in every single game, Spain was playing with 10 players, they say... I agree with them

When Spain won the WC and the EC, they had Alonso in his prime. He was the best deep-lying midfielder in the world back then.

we signed him when he was finished, Real kicked him out and Pep Fraudiola got him. Then, we renewed with him because of Ancelotti.

Scapegoating is a pathetic, childish discipline, one of the most rudimental remnants of an undeveloped and unsuccessful society. It provides neither room for improvement nor a chance for learning a valuable lesson; If you can't deal with failure then perhaps football and sports alltogether are not for you.

We all should be grateful that a football giant like Alonso played for our club, and hope that he continues to contribute to the club beyond his playing career, in a role most fitting to share his great experience to our youth.

It's not scapegoating, it's just that he's half the player he used to be... Maybe Pele wants to wear a Bayern jersey as well?
We are not a retirement home and we already have and had some aging players... Difference is: those were legends in OUR club! That's why we renew/keep them! We don't have to be thankful to Alonso...

No one is advocating us being a retirement home, just using our assets adequately. And asset he was, from the beggining, but thanks to various factors he rarely fulfilled his potential.
