Okay... Now I don't know how much of this travels outside of Germany... But as soon as 2012/13 was there talk about how hard it is to replace our wings someday... And you always heard those two saying they're working on it and how no one should hope Bayern wouldn't find someone... Now they're 34 and we got shit...

Hoeness has, at least hearsay suggests that, never stopped pulling strings, even in prison... And Hoeness and Rummenigge work in unison... It's not "just" Uli, this is just a good place for the discussion...

I agree though, let's wait and see what transfers will wash ashore this summer...

Yeah but during that key period Uli was in prison. For instance I'm sure we would definitely have bought Sané over Costa in 2015 if he was in charge. Benefit of the doubt until he screws up this summer I'd say.

You are just postponing your agreement..
We will sign Literally nobody above 19 years this summer..maybe backup goalie but that's it..Its not wishful thinking I will tell you why I think so..
1)KHR told Carlo wants to use Kimmich as RB.
2)"We already signed renato for Xabi's position" & Rudy is coming
3)Reschke:"We can't break the bank like real madrid to sign somebody!" so here goes mbappe, dybala, griezmann et al.
4)We need a backup striker who agrees to be benched 32 times a season..So bye bye back up striker or maybe pizarro comes back for 3rd time which I will not consider a new signing sorry..even Giroud won't agree to that..

Just cut the crap and agree..

Learn to understand the proper context of the conversation before trying too hard to be an insufferable negative dipshit. Honestly I don't understand what sort of pleasure you get from posting this type of negative shit every single time on the forum, I do advise checking yourself for some sadistic personality disorder.

I was not agreeing with criticising Uli, and just Uli, for the reasons already discussed above as the track record of transfers during his tenure has been nearly flawless. Don't expand the issue to Kalle's idiotic past statements, and more importantly don't attempt to enter any discussion that I'm involved in if you don't have the emotional ability to take the context with a clear head and change your negative attitude.

- We know we won't sign (near) 100m players (Mbappe, Griezmann, Dybala, Verratti).

- We don't need CMs or DMs, nor CBs or LBs.

- We can't get a proper top striker as a backup for reasons I already elaborated on (Lewy won't accept to be rotated heavily and a top striker won't come to play scrap minutes).

This still leaves the door open for stars at discount prices or still not hyper-hyped to the 100m range (Alexis, James, Özil, Bernardo?, Lemar?, Arda Turan?).

That is not to say that we *will* sign a star in that bracket. Uli has declared for the regermanization of Bayern. We already got Süle and Rudy to regermanize, the question remains; will we seek to further regermanize by bringing in mediocre players or will we try to sign 1 or 2 of the discount stars mentioned above?

Also; will we get a mediocre or old player to backup Lewy (Wagner, Giroud, Gómez)? Will we get a RB (Heinrichs, Semedo) or use someone we got?

Those still are open questions. We have to wait and see before we evaluate Uli's return.

Yes... I'm just not agreeing with that "nearly flawless" claim - because he's not...

Bayern Munich have not become a 'retirement home' - Uli Hoeness [source]

"If you look at Juventus' defence, they have nobody under the age of 33," he said. "In my opinion, Juve will probably win the Champions League, beating Real. Nobody will ask if they are too old then."
Really Uli,really ?
Bonucci is 30 YO,Rugani-22,Benatia-30,Chiellini-32,Sandro-26..yeah,they have NOBODY under 33 smh.
He is losing his mind, I don't know where he will lead us in the future.

This post and the interview it contains should be made sticky.
In the next few years, when people start to wonder where it all went wrong, this interview will be the equivalent of the Titanic departing Liverpool (or maybe that moment was when Hoeness was brought on board).

As pointed out, incorrect age for the Juve defence, perhaps he was talking average age?, even that is an irrelevant number when Buffon skews it so heavily. In any case, what can one expect from a senile old man? Let's play Ribery and Robben till they are 40.

Yes, the reference to the Chinese market is cringe worthy. Particularly hilarious is the bundesliga game taking place at primetime in China, but for some reason the chinese electing to watch them on their Iphones (which sell poorly in China btw as a share of total market), instead on one of the numerous televisions they manufacture or stream via one of the hundreds of illegal streaming sites they host.

Get this dinosaur out of this club!!!!

I imagine the Bundesliga and the clubs would still get more from advertising and sponsorships. An eyeball is an eyeball no matter how it's delivered. But yes damn those Chinese illegal streaming sites. I hope no one on here is using them! Also I can't believe Hoeness didn't realize how badly the iPhone is doing in China. Shame.

You are totally right.
Now,let's talk a little more about average age:

Juventus:
Position: Average age: (10.05.2017)
Goalkeeper 28,67
Defence 30,33
Midfield 25,78
Striker 26,40
Total: 27,81

Bayern:
Position: Average age: (10.05.2017)
Goalkeeper 31,67
Defence 28,00
Midfield 25,25
Striker 26,80
Total: 27,26

Edit: Also, this year's starting lineup against Real was the oldest one for Bayern in the Champions Leagues since 2003.I don't see things like that said against Juventus. #-o
