We are linked with Tom Starke for Neuer's deputy. Sport Bild has confirmed that Bayern have submitted a request for the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim goalkeeper.

I really like Stark -- he gave some really good performances against Bayern and is usually solid. If he doesn't mind playing backup, then go for it.

I don't like him at all but he is a better option than Drobny.

I would prefer someone younger like Unnerstall.

Unnerstall is the worst GK in Bundesliga.

I prefer an experienced GK. Younger ones won't like to sit on the bench

Not true, there are plenty of younger backups. Neuer IS experienced -- not sure why everyone still thinks he is the young one. We need a combination if hungry youth but experience to fill in for Neuer. I don't want another older keeper like Butt playing backup.

I would not be suprised if the deal for Starke happens this summer. Hoffenheim have got a deal for Wiese in place for next season so it seems like Starke is surplus goods for now.

Definitely a positive thing if this happens.

If it's true, it's good that we got this out of the way, now we only need a striker and possibly a midfielder or fullback.

Yes!! This would be great now that Butt is retiring! He will add that competition to keep Neuer on his toes. If we get Giroud and Şahin then we are in business for next season!!
