While it's true that in the old European Cup you didn't get to play Real or Juve every game, it's also true that the level of the so-called smaller teams was much much higher than right now. Due to restrictions on player movements and the fact that most teams depended on matchday revenue instead of the pay-per-view money, there was much more parity across the field in Europe. It wasn't at all a shock for Romanian, Yougoslav or Soviet teams, let alone Dutch, Scottish or Portuguese, to defeat the so-called big teams in Europe. In fact, there were periods when these so-called teams would be considered as the best in Europe.

My colleague after reading some Bacca rumours told me; "is he coming to replace Mueller"?
I was like  No!!! Why???
His innocent answer was; he is not that young...!!!!

He is just brilliant wherever he plays. He was instrumental in both of the first goals vs. Italy. I know this is a cliche that has been used so much, but a bit like Lahm, he seems always make the right play, the right pass, the right run. He really has a feel for the game that can't be taught but is simply there. When you first see him, his awkward touch and technique don't convince you immediately, but then if he isn't in the game, you suddenly notice that there is no flow to the game.

He is truly a superb player.

The captain band looked good on him yesterday.

He is a tad too goofy for the captainhood but he definitively has the fighting spirit. Alaba would be my preferred next captain nonetheless.

Yes, I would give Alaba the captain armband if he switched to the German NT

You can't genuinely analyze Müller though...
Someone, fire that Italian **** already! I don't care who, I don't care how much it costs or who'll be the next coach - just make sure he's gone and he stays gone!!!

After scientists identify a hypothetical substance referred to as dark matter maybe then they might have a better shot.
