I seem to recall him saying once that he wouldn't leave Munich because he loves his horses too much.

"Guys like Thomas make us very happy, because it's so important for the people to see players who they know are from Munich or elsewhere in Bavaria," says Gerland. "They grew up in our academy and we are proud to see them developing as professionals; some of them as world champions and stars. It's our job to do this, and if we are doing it well then we are very pleased."

Didn't you hear that Louie is heading to Munich... to work as a janitor and that way be close to Mueller and Robben.

So anyhow this is one of the things that sets Muller apart. He's the type of player who could easily be rendered obnoxious, over-hyped/overpriced and thrown into a mediatic oblivion of praises and marketing that would make CR7's publicist proud.

Instead he's quietly renegotiating a contract and is fine with showing up with the 'rest of the boys' on that 'I renewed' picture.

Team player, this is what it is all about.

Didn't even cross my mind. It just seems so natural for the 4 of them to announce together. Madrid's primadonna world must be fun.
