Didn't expect that, always thought Klinsmann rated Müller highly! In fact that was my only good opinion of him, really...

SAME! I was shocked to read that he wanted to sell Muller, my dad tells me when he sees Muller play it reminds him of Klinsman....

Nah, probably this is all goal.com BS.

Afterall Klinsman was the one that gave Muller his first appearance in a CL match (where Muller scored) while this BS article says LVG did....

It's a direct quote via Kicker, I doubt it's BS. And it would explain even more why Müller likes Gerland so much.

Associates of mine here in the States harassed me a bit after USA beat Germany. I warned them that their time will come with Klinsmann as the coach as he will certainly F#$%^ them up eventually.

I think this was already known for the most part though Klinsmann's involvement was not that much known. I recall Uli Hoeneß and Hopp talked about the matter in 2010 stating that they were negotiating a € 3.5m deal for Müller to Hoffenheim in early 2009.

Ironically Klinsmann's incompetency probably saved Müller. Hoeneß must have thought "I'm not going to follow up on anything that moron recommended me to do."

We all know how the story turned out.

If there is one complaint I have about Müller, it's that he is fairly one footed. Not to the extreme lengths of Robben, but still something he needs to work on. Apparently he didn't score a single goal with his left foot all season (according to some graphic I can't find anymore).

Sir, you are wrong!

First goal and I haven't watched more. One footed or not, last Ballon D'or winner had one leg too, so no problem for Müller. :P

Yeah, that indeed seemed like a dubious statistic (I instantly remembered the left-footer against Wolfsburg in 2010). but I just rewatched the game v Barca, there are a couple of plays where he could've done better using his left foot instead of trying to outside-foot it with his right.

I finished the video. There was one more left-footed shot into empty goal.

When was that first goal anyway? I'm pretty sure that's Düsseldorf we're playing against, but looking at the 5-0 win, I can't see that goal anywhere. :?:

I know what you mean but i thought Muller was just as one footed as most players, but at least it never reached Robben levels which allows him to still be world class...

I remember Clark Whitney tweet about Muller scoring [an offside] goal with his left foot, and adding the comment that Robben should be worried. But then again, it seems you guys didn't see Robben's volley with the right foot in the cup final.

Hey, maybe the one manning the cannons should not be running around in the battlefield throwing punches?

Muller is two footed actually...have you ever watched him play? You really cant even compare him to Robben.

Muller passes with his left as if it was his right and i saw him shoot with his left tons of times. He scored a lot of goals with his left and those were some hard shots. Only Kroos and Ribery are "more two footed" than Muller...with Schweini and Gomez also using both feet when needed.
