I haven't looked at the numbers, but anecdotally I'd say that he has seemed a bit more hesitant to shoot lately... He's starting to get his form back for sure, but I agree that often times it seems he's decided to try a difficult pass rather than easy shot....

 One can't imagine how much we love these Muller things and how much opposing fans hate the gut out of him for doing them.

Thomas Müller: I'm full of self-confidence again since Jupp Heynckes took over as coach, because he has placed a lot of faith in me.There was never any guaranteed playing time, but we talked a lot and he placed his trust in me. Jupp Heynckes clearly told me that we have a very strong squad so you need top performances. But, of course, his faith in me is stronger than it was before. We are still going strong in all three competitions, the coaching staff is the same as 2013 and we are on a good run. There are parallels to 2013 and we have big goals.

... on Thomas Tuchel: I never had him as a coach, so of course I cannot judge him. Dortmund played good football and had a good structure with him. Let's see what happens in the next weeks and months. [SportBild]

I am not saying he's not better now..of course he is..but he was NOT muller last year he was more like yannick bolasie or Feghouli or some bang average john doe..he was an imposter basically!

9 goals and 12 assists upto now this season THAT'S Muller..
2 goals and 10 assists in an entire season is bolasie or max philipp or someone like that.

Look at his stats and compare them to the rest of his career rather than 2015....You'll find that even Müller's "down" year was largely in line with his career production thus far...The idea that Müller was "pathetic" last season (just by saying "look at his goals and assists!!" isn't really supported by much fact

Thomas Müller

Postby pyrasur » Mon Apr 02, 2018 7:22 am

He really wasn’t good though. You could put a part of it to Ancelotti. It’s not a coincidence Heynckes’s return has restored Müller. It’s not a shame that last season people had to make excuses for his errors, instead of Bayern moving on. It is what it is. Almost everyone was getting worse. But whatever system Bayern were supposed to be playing, the weaknesses in his game were being magnified.

Or we could blame Xabi Alonso

Took him nearly two years to get over a penalty miss. Kind of embarrassing.
